A quite vigorous pour barely gets over a finger thick head to form, it is a light tan color. The beer is a hazed, amber color that shows a hazy, orangish copper hue when held up to the light. The aroma has a pine and grapefruit hop aroma to it up front the moves to a mix of soap and stale body odor in the finish. Honestly the aroma just sucks and really doesn't leave me with any desire to explore it any more.
The beer has a malts sweetness to it up front that is tempered by a pine and herbal hop flavor. As the beer flows across the tongue it begins to pick up a stronger and stronger soap flavor, until that is what ends up lingering on in the finish for much too long. There is a fair amount of bitterness here, but honestly it could actually use more of a biting bitterness to balance the sweet, caramelized malt character. It has a bit more body than I personally like in a Double IPA, but is perfectly within the style range.
This beer was actually somewhat fun, the aroma is particularly offensive, though the flavor is just a touch better. It is quite hoppy, so they at least got that part right (I have had some Double IPAs that were severely under-hopped), but the off flavors are just really striking. Makes me wonder what they did to get these particular flavors and aromatics; I almost wonder if it is some horrible combination of hops.

KSBF07. Orange colored pour, full head. The aroma was orangey malts with strong grapefruit and orange-like citrus hops. The flavor was strong oranges, grapefruits, lacking a malt backbone other than light caramel. The mouthfeel was light for a dIPA. Came across more like an average IPA.

Bottle. As it pours, you can smell the hop aroma an arms length away. Cloudy yellow with an almost 1" thick head. What a great aroma of peach, grapefruit and oranges. I get my whole daily intake of citrus just by drinking beer. Mom would be proud. Really sweet without much of any real maltiness but hey, thats okay also. I live for the rush of the hop and this stuff doesn’t disapoint. Reminds me of Pure Hoppiness but a little more acidic. I found some nice pepper notes in here so it’s not all hop juice. Tone down the grapefruit just a tad and they hadve a real winner.

Poured a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Citrusy hop aroma of orange and tangerine. Shockingly bitter, wow. Not like any other IPA I have tasted. Lots of grapefruit, tangy orange citrus as well. Very full mouthfeel with a strange lingering sweetness. Unfortunately this tasted very artificial. With more pure hop flavor I think this could be amazing. Overall the taste kind of ruined this for me.

Wow, this is different. Pours a slightly hazy light amber with 2 fingers of sticky long lasting foam. Aroma is very sweet, and very citrussy and hoppy. Starts of sweet, with a great mix of sweet hop flavor, and sweet malt flavor. Finishes bitter, although not bitingly so. Very nice, although the sweetness is almost sickingly so. This may be too much for some, as it was almost too much for me. Sweetness reaches barleywine-like levels, without the other barleywine flavors to back it up.

Pours with an orange amber body topped by a thick white head with lots of lacing. Sweet citrusy (lemon/lime) hop aroma with a grainy malt character. Very sweet (cloying) and fruity hop flavor with a good amount of grainy malt and a bitter hoppy finish. Medium to full bodied and relatively smooth with a touch of dryness.
