OUR STRAIGHT-UP STRAIN: THE ‘BLUE DREAM’ IPA Trailblazers don’t torch a new passageway and then stop; they keep finding new ways in and new ways back out. That’s exactly what we did with our metamodern IPA conceived of hand-selected hops from down under. Malt barley and red wheat combine to create a clean malt backbone with a foolproof flavor and mouthfeel to support America’s sneak peek at Enigma, Vic Secret, Ella and Galaxy hops. The hops strum juicy and sweet aromas with headline notes of passion fruit, raspberries, pineapple and citrus. This intense, straight-up strain is Oskar Blues IPA (6.43% ABV). Smash a Blue Ferrigno… and it’ll smash back.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus, pine needles and tomcat. Medium dry and refreshing flavour, with distinct grapefruity and piney hops throughout, ending in a solid bitterness.

Very acceptable and accessible IPA. Nice IPA nose, pine, mango, fresh cut flowers. Quite yellow in the body, clear with good continuing bubbles, topped by a bright white head with good retention and little lace. Mouth is a touch on the light side of medium a bit too watery, carbonation well done. Flavor is nicely bitter, malts are neutral, some pineapple slightly off putting aftertaste, a bit medicinal but OK.

Pours a hazy yellow with a moderate sized white head. Average hang time and spotty lacing. Citrus and grassy aroma. Flavour follows the nose plus grapefruit lemon and pine. Hop bitterness is offset by a little malt sweetness. Mouthfeel is a bit on the thin side.

A bright orange golden colored beer with a big sudsy textured white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. A well formed ringlet is left. Grapefruit sweetness and citric hoppiness in the nose and in the tasting. This is very sessionable and easy to drink.

12 oz can. Pours clear straw yellow with a big rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is tropical fruits and catty dank resiny hops.
The flavor is sweet fruit with some dank resiny hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and fairly watery.
Overall, like a lighter more watery Deviant Dale's with a little more fruit.
