A surprising find from the local Trader Joes. Not that I ever really care about price when it comes to beer, but this can't be beat for a mere $4.75 a six-pack....

Apperence: Nice rocky head on top of a nice, coppery beer.

Smell: Lemony, which normally means a Golding, or perhaps Willamette aroma hopping (I'm betting on the later, since this is from the PacNW -- hop capital of North America). Inviting, to say the least.

Taste: Very nice. A touch of toffey or caramel from what I would presume to be Crstal grains, and a nice solid maltiness. Lemony, with some pine unertones, which would mean possibly Willamette, Goldings, Chinook -- all really great hops for this style of beer. Tasty.

Mouthfeel: Quite balanced, overall. Could be called an E.S.B. in the U.K., but definately has the firm malt-and-hop balance required for a PacNW Pale Ale.

Overall: Nice, with no ugly after-affects -- unless of course you drink a few too many..., and then it's your own fault, not the beers! :)

A nice Pale Ale that I had never heard of until today, but would be happy to purchase again.

Medium amber color, small head. Medium malts, medium hops. Full flavor, smooth taste. Good balance. Nice round mouthfeel. A very nice beer. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

A cloudy brown beer, w/ very nice balance. It finishes very smoothly. Very tasty.

Great taste, and not overwhelming. Can be enjoyed with food or by itself.
