A BELGIAN LOVE AFFAIR Ommegang Seduction is lovingly brewed with six dark malts. Chocolatier Callebut provides the chocolate, while Liefmans brings the cherries. This international romance is consumated with a full body, alluring aromas and flavors of Belgian chocolate, and tart cherries. Seduction is an ale to be lovingly embraced. Beautiful, rich and smooth, roasty and malty throughout, Seduction offers balanced chocolate-cherry notes, a bit of caramel sweetness, and a long, slow finish. Seduction is welcoming and warm-hearted, gently hopped and harbors no bitterness, leaving only a lingering glow.

Big dark brown body with a massive brown cap floating on top that is leaving thick rocky bubble creators behind as it slowly decays. Couldn't wait for cap to go away to get the aroma so I just took a massive sip and all I hit was cherry with a chocolate kicker. Aroma way milder then I thought it would be, its really hard to find. Aroma does have (after a long, long wait) chocolate, hints of cherry, ash, and I think I can imagine I smell coffee. Taste is much better.......stronger. Hints of ash, chocolate, I can't seem to find the cherry any more but I know its there. flavourless hops show up in the mildly bitter finish. Nail Yakupov tries to do to much with the puck instead of the nice easy pass....... cherry has returned but hidden under a almost burnt malt. Slight watery feel and taste but I'm being picky saying that. Earthy...sweet yet kind of tart....mild bitter finish.....easy to drink .......beer is milder then I thought it would be........ GO OILERS!!!!!!

Nearly black with a huge tan froth slowly giving way to plenty of lacing. Sugary fruit aroma, mild hints of cocoa, raisin, and something like peach or orange. Sweet and malty with a mild, earthy bitterness of cocoa and charred wood. There's a coffee element over time. I don't detect significant tartness or cherry. Very sticky but not very heavy, tiny bubbles. There is something seductive about this. Might be a good gateway for people who don't get into more extreme porters.

Shared bottle at a mini-tasting. Thinnish muddy black pour, ample head and plenty of lacing. Rich seductive aromas of chocolates upfront, then rich roasted malts, very light fruits and cherries, earthy hops. Taste is also chocolate and roasted malt forward, very little of the advertised cherries although they're in there, just very mild, ample earthy hops, more chocolate. Very nice and rich Baltic Porter from a great brewery. Glad to share it with a couple of good beer friends.

Had this on tap at the Alchemy many moons ago. Pours brownish black with a toffee coloured head. Nose has a hint of the cherry and chocolate on the nose. Taste is really smooth. Milky, semi tart with cherry flavoring, finishes a little light.

A very expensive limited edition, I would expect more punch and pow from something packaged like this. Still, it's very smooth with the taste of cocoa. Not a very strong aroma, I actually have to concentrate to channel anything. This seems like a very 'safe' tasting brew. Ommegang could have took a chance and made this more spectacular. A stronger, bolder, more WHOA! kind of chocolate flavor. For the price, not recommended.

Comes out of the bottle an opaque chocolate brown with a substantial fine-bubbled beige head. Aroma has fruity, woody and chocolate notes plus a hint of smoke. Mouth-filling flavor has woody and caramel notes plus cherry and chocolate underpinnings and earthy and roast malt hints. Rich, firm-bodied texture is quite fizzy and leaves a tingly finish with fruity, chocolate and woody notes. Let this one seduce ya!

I don't think I would consider this a baltic porter--more of a Belgian dark ale. Some chocolate and cherry in the aroma and flavor but the Belgian yeast overpowers both, leaving this beer lacking any oomph.

Nice black body with a thick frothy head, didnt leave as much lace as i thought it would. Aromas of cherries, chocolate, and some nice rich malt notes, flavor was about the same but the chocolate wasnt as prevelant. Nicely balanced, a good beer thats worth a try.

this had the potential to be great, ended up just good. i dug the cherry aspect to the aroma and flavor, slightly tart, slightly sweet. the chocolate was underdone, possibly due to the fact that the belgian yeast was a little too overagressive. kinda thin palate. good flavor and aroma, coulda been great if it was a touch less overwhelmingly belgian

A dark black-brown beer with a big frothy brown head rising robustly above. There's good hang time. There's no lacing when it eventually settles. Cherries and cocoa powder in the nose. Ditto on the tasting. Nice balance of sweet and tart. Light bodied.
