Cask; Regular. Dr Okells is an extremely light coloured beer with a surprising full bodied taste, the sweetness is offset by a very strong hopping rate. That gives the finished beer an over all roundness with very spicy lemony notes and a fine dry fiinish to counteract the initial sweetness.

500 ml capped bottle.Poured in an English tulip pint a clear amber-orange coloured IPA with a short two fingers creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is aromatic resinous hops, fruity, citrus and sweety malts. The flavour is mild caramel malts, fruity, grapefruits, some herbal notes and fruity hops. The mouthfeel is crispy and fizzy. This light bodied IPA has a long slight hoppy bitter finish. A quite soft IPA from the Isle of Man.

500 ml bottle, bought at ICA Middelthon, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, big white head. Fairly strong aroma of hops, first flowery, then more citrussy and lightly spicy. The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, with grapefruity notes, and has just enough malts to balance it. Pleasant (if somewhat sharp) bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. I don’t know which variety(ies) of hops they have used here - possibly Progress? A nice and refreshing ale this one - will buy again.

Clear dark golden with a rich cotton-like head. Fruity and hoppy aroma of Seville oranges and flowers. Seville oranges in flavour with touches of minerals and flowers with a hoppy finish of grass and lemon. A bit watery.

Golden colour, small white bubbly head, leaving a bit of lace. Hoppy fruity aroma with some metallic hints. Straight forward hoppy fruitish and hayish flavour. Easy to drink, but kind of boring. (5 6 6 6 6)
Casked. A bit hazy orange colour with minor white head. Fruity bitter, hayish aroma. Flavour is not too exciting, mainly sour fruits. Quite standard cask bitter. (5 6 5 6 5). -

Bottle. Light copper colour with a slim white head. Fruit and hops in the aroma with some background malt and caramel. Taste is pretty nice; hoppy, fruity, some citrus. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Good hops - I like it.
