Made with hand selected, traditionally prepared, floor-malted riband wheat from the rolling chalk downs of Wiltshire, O'Hanlon's Wheat Beer is deliciously citrus-tinted with a hint of spice. It rapidly establishes itself as a firm favourite with drinkers wherever it is introduced. O'Hanlon's Wheat Beer has received wide acclaim as an outstanding excmple of the British style of wheat beer, which can be served clear or cloudy, as preferred. Freshness and fragrance come first to the palate, followed by the distinctive citrus crackle that stays crisp and tangy down to the last drop.

Well, I guess I let this one sit too long in the fridge ... best before March 31 and here it's September. It is still drinkable, but it has lost a lot of the wheat beer character ... it tastes like a fairly decent, slightly mild English ale with a bit of extra hops in the finish. I'll haveto try it fresh and see what it tastes like.

first British made wheat for me...this was a hazed gold with a large airy head. A sweeter sappy aroma. Flavor had a lot of rich wheat and grains; tasty, fairly complex. Some grass and citrus. Slightly sweet with some bitterness there for good balance. Fresh taste, crisp and a bit dry. lots of sediment...better than expected even past its due date

Best before May 2006, this poured a colour rather darker than most other wheat beers I've had and was a bit on the hazy side as well. The head was substantial, foamy and white. Aroma was of grass and also was tart. Taste was sharp and bitter for a wheat, but sweetened up in the aftertaste. Quite a different wheat beer than I'm used to; liked it!

Bottle. Poured a golden, murky color with a thick white head. Plenty of lacing. Aroma of banana, similar to a hefeweizen. Tastes like a hefeweizen, although not as strong. I don't think this tastes like an American Wheat at all. Much more of a hefe. Decent.

A dark golden color with a moderate white head. A very lemony aroma and not much else. The flavor continues with the lemons, possibly overkill, with some wheat mixed in there. Pretty standard to this standard style.

A brewer from England brewing an American Wheat, hmmm. Nice complex flavors without being either too sweet or too dry. All of the good things I like in a wheat. Maybe the Brits should make more American style wheat beers.

The aroma is floral and fruity with overtones of apples and bananas and sweet. The appearance is a darker yellow with some haze with an ever expanding, white and bubbly head. The mouthfeel is light and well-balanced and somewhat dry. The flavor has distinctive citrus and is sweet and very crisp and smooth with some hints of yeast but not much. Overall, very well-flavored and smooth to drink with nice body and head and a pretty good price as well.

Bottle. Hazy orange colour with a thin white head. Aroma is a nice fragrant combination of citrus, wheat and light malts. Flavour is lemony, yeasty, a bit of pine/medicinal. Thin to medium mouthfeel. Dry with a short hoppy finish. Good.
