It pours a bright burnt-orange with a thick white/faint-orange head and fairly copious lacing. A light aroma of caramel malts, citrus, light hops, bread and biscuits, and light spices. The mouthfeel is smooth although a bit thin. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, citrus, alcohol, bread and yeast, and spices. It's good, but I have had many better IPAs.

22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with a smallish white head that quickly diminishes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.

The aroma is very subdued - a little fruit and some skunk and cola and some dank hops.

The flavor is metallic malts and cola with a little fruit and has a lot of resiny bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to light bodied and kind of watery.

Overall, it has good hop bitterness but lots of weird off notes (skunk, cola, metal). This is the first time I've seen Left Coast for sale here. I wonder if I got a bad bottle. It's not awful...I finished it. Just not really good.

Tasted at the Huntington Beach location. Really a fresh, clean, high hopped, traditional West Coast IPA. Aroma is a bit on the sweet side, which balances out the intensely bitter grapefruit and piney attack. Appearance is on the darker side of things, solid amber color with a nice thick head. Mouthfeel smooth and light. Flavor moderatly sweet with a high level of grapefruity bitterness. This beer went insanely well with the mushroom pizza I was woofing down. Definitely not really well balanced, but that's okay. A great beer just the same and damned tasty.

Definite fresh cascade nose. It's huge and a little raw. The flavor is definitely on the dry side. It's an excellent IPA, but I think I'd like a bit more malt flavor and body to back up the raging hops.

Copper colored brew with a piney nose. Your typical west coast ipa. Nothing striking.

Medium amber color. Aroma is malty and floral. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are nutty and slightly sweet. Hops are grapefruity. Well balanced. Smooth. Nice IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

Pretty much everytime my girlfriend drags me to Ikea in Mission Valley, we stop by for a drink or some food at the Mission Valley Oggi's. Of the beers that I've had from the brewpub chain, only the IPA has consistently been tasty. Enough maltiness to make things interesting, and enough hops to produce a clean aroma and bitterness profile. Perhaps not the most daring of beers in this style -- Cascade hopping is never too far out of place in West Coast ales -- but does satisfy just the same. //TB

Cask: This IPA pours with an orange amber body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. The aroma is sweet, grapefruity and hoppy with some piney notes. The flavor is slightly sweet yet bitter, grapefruity and hoppy as hell. It seems a little green and has lots of bitter piney notes. Medium to full bodied, slightly smooth and a touch dry.
