Bottle, so hard to tell color and foam. Not bitter, more sweet, with earthy tones, drinking down easy and somewhat flat. Watery is more preceise description, would love to see this in a glass ones. No lasting taste. (Velp, 201204)

Pours a clear yellow in color with light amounts of visible carbonation. The head is a small and white which reduces to a very thin layer over the entire surface of the beer with a thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Light lacing is observed. The aroma is bready and adjunct malts with some hints of corn and grain. Very little hops and a pretty sweet smelling beer. The taste is sweetness from the adjunct malts with a strong corn (almost corn syrup) flavor and very light bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is light bodied with moderate to high amounts of carbonation. Sampled this at World of Beers.

Bought at Lukas Liquor in Kansas City .. . Pours a deep yellow, light foam .. . hay, dead and dying grass, and skunk .. . gas powered computer .. . refreshing and nicely bittered, would be a whole lot better if the ukraine wasn't 6000 miles away .. . i don't care how hungry i am but i will not eat poop meat!

Canned (thanks T.B.!). Pale golden colour with small foamy white head. Aroma is vegetables, some slight grainy notes, mild rubber as well as some slight diacetyl. Flavour is being quite similar with some strange sweetness as well. Not the worst Ukrainian I have had, but probably not going to drink this again either...

One of the more enjoyable pale lagers I’ve had the pleasure to consume in recent memory. The aroma is worth the effort alone, with a nice grassy hop bite to it. Body is a beautiful golden yellow color, Tight 1/2" white head with clumpy lacing. Flavor is very clean, light malty with a noticeable hop bitterness that is just the right amount for the style and a dry finish. Immensely thirst quenching, satisfying and enjoyable. Very nice.

Uhhhgggnn... #2 of 3 Obolons... where is my bottle of Tylenol?
Solid gold brew with a foamy white head. The aroma is not better than the Premium but not too much under it if at all: Grain, slight metallic, sweeter but a whole hell of a lot less apple. The hop aroma did make my mouth water - not that it was exceptional, it just happened so I mentioned it. The flavour is more hops than Premium but the beer is more watery. Softer malts, slight alcohol, pretty boring and quite forgettable. It does hold up better when warmer though. Slight sweet citrus fruit. Comes across flat but has decent body. Finishes with a tasty bitterness. Time to adjust my marks as this did get better, even after I put it second best. God, one more to go... -

It pours urine-gold with thin white head and not much lace. Malty aroma with hops, lemon, and mild spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, rich, and full-bodied. Tart flavor of malts, hops, lemon-citrus, and spices. Pretty fresh and good.

During a recent trip to my home in Chicago, I had a chance to visit Binny's and pick up a wide variety of International beers. The Obolon Lager was one of them. It poured a clear medium gold colour with a frothy head. The aroma was grainy with some citrus hints. The taste was gross. Just plain awful. It made me barf.

A fairly typical lager, but has a nice aroma and decent flavor. Appearance is average golden-yellow. Aroma is typically lager-ish, and has a bit of a zing. Flavor is average - not exciting, but not thin or watery.

This beer poured golden with a somewhat unpleasent aroma, not sure if it was a bad bottle or not, but it reall turned me off. IT was wierd and overly skunked, not a whole lot of excitement going on, but i finished it off.
