pours a hazy dark yellow with a big and quite dense off-white head that has very nice retention and leaves some lacing on the glass as well. The armoa is not really strong on the wheat/bready side, but still nice. Spicy, phenolic aroma, with clove and banana among a bubblegum like feel. The taste is as the smell suggested, very light on the malts side, with just a hint of graininess and is distinctly spicy with phenols and clove hints. Then some notes of banana and again a faint bubblegum like feel. The mouthfeel is light in body and very much on the watery side, with barely noticeable carbonation.

500 ml swingtop bottle, bought in Spain. ABV is 5.0%. Cloudy pale golden colour, large white head. The aroma is first dusty and grainy, then the typical hefeweizen features (cloves and banana) come through. The medium dry flavour has also some grainy notes, moderate notes of cloves, an apple-like acidity in the finish. Like most hefeweizens it is refreshing and fairly nice to drink - but not the best example of the style.

This is definitely one of the paler of the hefeweizens. None of that dark yellowish brown of Schneider Weisse for Oberdorfer this is an almost unnaturally bright yellow body. The hadn't even started to settle in the bottle, so this is apparently fairly fresh. A loose, puffy white head tops it and is fed by a constant sheet of carbonation. The aroma is nice flowery bouquet of cloved citrus. There's not a lot of banana in this, but it's still flavorful. A bit on the dry side.

I found this to be a superb beer. I enjoyed the citrus tinge which puts a point to its smoothness.

Nice aroma on this beer, but that is all. The appearance is so so and it just goes down hill from there. Bitter and sour flavor, citrus like. I paid $2.49 for a pint and if I were you, take my advice and do NOT even bother with this one. I only had it once and it could have been a bad beer, but I am not willing to find out. At least I can use the pop-top bottle for my home brew.
