The Kentucky Common is a beer which originated in Louisville Kentucky around the 1850’s until prohibition. “Common” referred to the lower alcohol content and these beers were always consumed fresh. This beer style is not commonly brewed and it seemed like a fitting beer style to brew in collaboration with our good friends at Left Field Brewery in Toronto, Ontario. A rich deep copper colour with a tight white head with a light sweetness on the nose and caramel malt with very low hop aroma. The flavour is balanced and clean, with just a nice sweetness and moderate earthy bitterness. The beer finishes very clean and semi-sweet. Malts: Pale Ale, Flaked Corn, Malted Rye, Carabohemian, Carafa II, Acidulated Hops: Columbus Yeast: American Ale
