Editor’s note: 428 bottles of 37,5 cl made. English: a sour Belgian style brown ale. The base beer was a Belgian Brune, brewed in September 2008 by the Master Brewer Class of 2008/09 at the Scandinavian School of Brewing. The finished beer was then allowed to age for 10 months in a Spanish Tempranillo barrel with multiple strains of Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus, resulting in a pleasantly sour, extremely complex, smooth beer with significant oaky, winey and barnyard flavours. Malt and caramel notes on the palate and a clean, crisp and fruity finish.

Pours out in a warm deep hazy amber colour with a low thick white head. Dryish crisp aroma of brett, lemon, dryish white wine, red currant, black cherries and mild caramel. Medium-bodied with acidic notes of roasted malts, balsamic vinegar, white pepper, immature raspberries, wood, salty licorice and mild caramel. Long dryish finish of brett, lemon-rind, white pepper and wood.

375 ml bottle, kindly shared by my beerpal Olav, who bought it at Nørrebro Bryghus. "Limited Release No. 2", ABV 6.5%. Hazy brown colour, big to moderate beige head. The aroma has some sourish fruity notes, hints of red wine vinegar, some malts too. Fairly sour flavour, some funky and malty notes.
