A beer for all seasons. Our Saison is a crisp and refreshing ale that works well as a thirst quencher in the summer months. Spicy notes from the Belgian yeast combined with a light and fresh mouth feel. This ale pairs very well with seafood or white meat.

Pours a very thin layer of fizzy head and has a cloudy orange yellowy appearance. Weak lacing. Mild grains, toasty and nutty malt aromas. Very light earthy hops, barely noticeable, as well. Flavours of barley malts, wheats, tangerines and blood oranges. Some spices make an appearance in the finish. Medium bodied. faint carbonation. Slight prickly sensation and a slick warming mouthfeel. Odd combination of malts and hops. Pretty good but one bottle is sufficient.

Single at the LCBO. Wow ! What a beautiful spiced nose at first. After a while, the Belgian Ale yeast calms things down with hints of alcohol and hops. Smooth taste of spices and mild grassy hops, all very well-blended. Hazy golden colour with a frothy white head, great retention and lots of thick foamy lacing. Well-balanced mouthfeel between a slight dryness and the refreshing wetness. A very nice bitterness coats everything. Quite a nice saison with lots of spices, for fans of witbiers.

The beer pours a very hazed golden yellow colour with a decent sized long lasting white head. Aroma is fruit, funk, yeast, and spices. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is slightly sweet, with fruity and yeasty notes. -

Bottle - pours a pale gold clouded ale in your glass with a 1 finger tight-pored white cap. Aroma is quite demure but you get some light fruit bready malting and some spicy hops and some yeast funk. Very nice flavour with spicy- herbal hops in front and biscuit malt spine ridding just below the hop bite - light fruitiness and sharp, dry lightly bitter finish. Definitely refreshing and satisfying at the same time

Part of the 2013 LCBO Summer Release. This surprised me as I was expecting some sort of twist on the typical saison and ended up with a typical saison. A cloudy golden pour with a thin white ring for a cap. Aroma was funky with spices and herbal hops. Flavour was slightly yeasty, with funk and grains thrown in, quite refreshing.

Pours yellow to orange coloured beer with a cloudy appearance and a big, foamy white head at the top that has great retention and lacing. The aroma is of citrus fruits, lemon and orange zest dominate the aroma along with some grain and yeast. The taste is refreshing, summer time beer with good yeast and citrus fruits flavours including the lemon and orange. The mouthfeel is medium and smooth with a citrus tang to it and a sweet bitterness through the middle. The finish is crisp, slightly sour and very dry. Sampled this beer at the World of Beers, the problem was that no matter how good the beer was it was offset by the price of a dollar an ounce.

i may have had a bad one, but i've only got one source, so for now, this is it. it was a volcanic brew...i had only half the bottle left b4 it was done. the smell also had a bit of skunk, but not enough to totally cover the coolness underneath. notes of yeast, earthy hops, and fruit. complex flavor too. i may revisit this in the future for hopes of a fresh one, but at $7.99...might be a while. this one was at least a little contaminated.

The beer pours out a cloudy yellowish/orange body with a 2" white sudsy cap. Fruit juice, yeast, a bit of baked bread, with some nice light clove/nutmeg notes. Flavor has some light apple juice notes, a touch of lemon, doughy bread with some light sweetness. Probably better to drink this in the spring or summer, but it wasn’t bad.

This pours a murky orange color with a less than impressive head and hardly any retention. The aroma is lemons, coriander and bananas. Taste is much of the same assortment of fruits but not a whole lot of spice, no funk, just kind of blah and lacking a little zip. Overall this beer is fine but probably no better than a decent session beer on a warm day.

Sampled on 11/27/2008. This saison pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 50cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and spicy, with a lot of citrus. A medium boded saison. The malts are fruity and sweet, with lots of fruit flavors; mostly pineapple, peach and citrus. The hops are kind of floral. Lively carbonation. For all that sweetness it’s kind of dry. Starts out fairly sweet and then some hop bitterness build in the middle to the finish. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
