A dark ruby color with a nice head. The aroma is light, but the flavor is almost smoky with a little coffee and a bit of light chocolate. Lightly bubbly mouthfeel.

Nodding Head Grog is a solid brown ale. It poured a dark brown color with a small head. It had a smooth, malty flavor with a slight coffee/chocolate note. A very drinkable beer.

A brown ale? This was pure crap. No real caramel taste, no real roasted taste, no real taste period. Very dissapointing.

I had this one at the brewery. I told the bartender that I was not impressed with any of their beers and he got a real attitude with me. I don't know how they won any awards.

This is definitely one of the better brown ales I've had. Served with about a finger of head atop a very dark brown body. Aroma is very sweet, caramel and chocolate. Mouthfeel is smooth, almost silky. Flavor is very sweet, packed full of caramel up front, followed by some great smooth chocolate flavors. I really like the use of dark malts in this brew, it accounts for a really great brown ale that could be called a porter without any changes in the recipe.

Very dark brown color with a small tan head. Caramel malt aroma, light roast as well. Chocolate, coffee, caramel, citrus hops, and dominant molasses taste. Overall kinda thin, but then that seems to be expected from this style.
