Beautiful orange-red semi filtered Marzen gives a 3 finger tawny cap that laces well. Toasty grains and herbal-woody noble aroma. Big toasty bready front side is tamed by the leafy hops mid palate, long rich finish is toasty-bready-leafy with a light sweetness that vanishes in the very end where a citrusy bite hits the palate. I'm impressed, this third batch is quite good, true to style, rich satisfying...all you'd want in a Munich amber.

I shared opne of these recently with cyrenaica, but I didn't think as highly as he did. A clear copper pour with a sweetish aroma that was almost a turnoff. THe flavour was refreshing and it went down well - but not what I was looking for.

I tried this beer on tap on November 13, 2009 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent copp[er colour with a thin tan head. The aroma was sweet malt, grass, and some hops...all backed by a mellow fruit tone. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt, some grass, some peary tones, and a nice bitter finish.
