From the bottle: Deftly, this springbrewed venture land on its feet. SPRINGBOARD combines oats, ancient Chinese herbs and Mt. Hood hops to maintain a blaanced equilibrium for such an exhilarating ale. This cloudy blonde has a spirited threshold, and a creamy body, follwed by a refreshingly dry finish.

Mildly disappointing brew from a great brewer. It was slightly bitter with not any real distinguishing tastes, although there were some minute citrus hints in the aroma and flavor. There are to many other good N.B. beers out there to buy this one again.

This one was not overly exciting. Very light cloudy yellow on the pour with a little bit of head and some average lacing. Some spice and fruit in the aroma. Taste was light with hints of spice, lemongrass and maybe a touch of citrus. Average mouthfeel and finish. It is light and refreshing, just nothing to get me excited about.

Another brew courtesy of some kind of phriends: Pours a bright golden colour, not too cloudy. Aroma is sweet and enticing, noticeable wheat and ripe gojis which i loved- Taste was smooth, light and creamy with nice berry character, semi sweet wheat and tropical tones. Awesome beer :)

Admittedly, I don't really have a frame of reference for goji berries, wormwood or schisandra since I don't recall ever tasting any of them at any time in my life. With that being said, this wasn't a bad tasting beer. Crisp, light, refreshing. Aroma was sweet, fruity, wheaty with a subtle lemony character. Appearance was a pale yellow with a decent off-white head. Flavor was all over the place. It had subtle sweet fruits, lemons, spices, with a low hop bitterness that finished it off nicely. It's not going to garner much attention, simply because it's a lighter beer. Still, I'm sure it has a time and place.

There is something that I really didn't like in this beer, and I'm going to blame that on the adjuncts boasted on the label: the wormwood, the goji berries (I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that supplied the fruitiness) and the schisandra (I'm not even sure what that is). I had a really hard time drinking this one all the way down. On all other fronts, it is what I expected from NB: the looks, the smell, the light carbonation...and then I hit these terrible flavors mixed in with the beer. Not going to buy this one again.

Pours hazy pale yellow with very little head that quickly disappears. Not much aroma. Flavor is good but not spectacular. This beer is slightly below average in my book and definitely sub-par for the New Belgium series.

Nice head upon entry in to glass. Retent was a moderate length. Aroma's of some spice, with slight hop, low malt, some grapefruit. Flavors of slight hop, low malt, little lemon and grapefruit. Mouth feel is creamy medium carbonation, smooth. Fairly nice interpretation, well balanced, easy drinking.

This beer pours crystal clear yellow, with a thin fizzy white head that remains on top for a good bit, with good lacing. The aroma is sweet, spicy, and malty. The mouthfeel is medium, with more than average amount of carbonation. The flavor is malts, bitter hops, and some subtle spices in the back. As you continue you get a bitterness in the finish that isn't a good thing. I'm just not impressed by this beer. It tastes like a dressed up macro. Disapointing for a New Begium offering in my opinion.

This spiced ale pours a slightly cloudy pale yellow color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is citrus. Lemons and some spices. A medium to light bodied spiced ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, kind of wheaty and sort of wit like. Yet it has a strange herbal and spicy flavors as well. Light and refreshing. Its weird but I kind of like it. Not something I would want to drink a lot in arrow of, but a nice refreshing spring beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours a misty, pale yellow with full, airy head and nice lacing. The aroma boasts hearty malt and spices with light citrus notes. The flavor is balanced and satisfying. Medium-bodied yet incredibly soft to the tongue. Solid attempt at the Belgium style with a couple interesting distinctions in spicing.
