Hop kitchen series #6. We teamed up with our hometown hop heroes at Odell to brew a FOrt COllins collaboration. Our proximity allowed sharing of ingredients to create this unique Pale Ale. If only we could employ prairie dogs that in habit the space between us to courier the Fawcett malt, an Odell standard, we used to complement our favored Centennial, Cascade and Citra hops. Best enjoyed with a neighbor!

22 oz bottle, enjoy by 8/31/14. Pours clear copper gold with a big rocky off-white head that retains well and laces the glass some.
The aroma is biscuity malt and grassy hops.
The flavor is sweet biscuity malts with grassy, minty hops that have decent bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a creamy body.
Overall, an OK pale. I don't care for the biscuity malt or grassy hops. Odell's version of this was so much better - hoppy with fruity, resiny hops. -

Pours a transparent copper with a fluffy white head that leaves nice lacing. The aromas have a nice amount of orange, grapefruit, lemon and lime zest in the mix as well. Some bread and caramel malts are there too. The flavors match the nose, orange peel, earthy, pine and grapefruit. The lemon and lime come out as well. Caramel malts are there, but don't seem to dominate. This has a clean finish. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeeel is the lighter side of medium-bodied with active carbonation. This is a solid collaboration. It borderlines being an IPA, but a good beer overall.

A nice hoppy fresh citrusy pale ale that borders on IPA territory in both stregth and hop presence. Very reminiscent of Red Chair "Northwest" Pale ale. Biscuity finish, but sweet hoppy forward. Very enjoyable.
