A strong malty, traditional lager. Using only the best malts of the Munich area creating an authentic Oktoberfest beer. Medium body with a good malt profile, and hopped to balance the malts. Great with any sausage and cold cuts

Pours a small foamy white head that doesn't stay very long and has a pale golden appearance. Leaves a bit of dirty lacing. Aromas of light citrus, sweet and grainy malts, hints of wheats. Flavours are actually quite fruity, not overly abundant but quite noticeable. Still has that grainy malt taste though, some grassy hops as well. Average carbonation. It's a pretty refreshing brew.

I tried this beer on draught on December 30, 2011 at "C'est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent reddish-gold with a thin white head. The aroma was cereal malts, some light fruit, and weak floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was grainy malt, some fruitish notes, and a decent hop finish. -

sampled at the brewery and in cans: Poured a clear amber with orange highlights in the glass, tight 2 finger creamy white cap that lasts well and laces. Aroma is very pleasant: big breadyness, a light toastiness and herbal-grassy hopping. Medium bodied, solid malt spine, rich character and mouth feel. Nice big wallop of malt up front, no mistaking that bready-toasty Munich red malt, ....hops balance almost perfectly but have a herbacious-spiciness....finish is moderate, malty with jusy a hint of sweetness which rides below the decent hop bite. Marzen is my drink, and for a first attempt at the style this brewer has managed to produce a flavourful decent rendition with rich marzen character, good drinkability and a unique twist....the hop bite in the finish from New Zealand noble varieties. Top Flight effort!
