Roll out the Barrel: 5.5% Alcohol by Volume and 22 IBUs. This traditional German Oktoberfest style beer is brewed with the highest quality German malt & hops. Available during the fall season on tap and in 16oz Cans. Quality Supreme: The Fest is crafted in small batches at Cottrell Brewery in Pawcatuck, CT and at the award-winning High Falls Brewery in Rochester, NY under the supervision of Brew-master Sean Larkin. Vienna, Pilsner, Light and Dark Munich malts make up the backbone of this beast, and Northern Brewer & Tettnanger hops are added to give it a crisp but subtle hop flavor. Winner of the silver medal in the 2010 World Beer Championship. Taste & Enjoy: Gansett Fest is a great example of a traditional amber-brown German Oktoberfest style beer. It is perfectly balanced with four varieties of malts and two styles of hops. This is an extremely easy drinking autumn seasonal beer, but one you will want to savor as the rich malt profile complements the crisp, but not overpowering, hop flavor perfectly.

Pours clear amber with a thick and fairly persistent parchment head. Aroma delivers fresh malt, fruity and subtle resiny hop tones. Flavor provides crisp fresh malt, fruity - pomme, tropical, citrus - character and resiny hops. Texture features fair body and perky fizz. Drink up, whether or not it's Oktoberfest.

The tall boy can is a colorful packaging. A bright amber colored beer on pour. Big frothy textured, white head rises above. There's great hang time. A thick ringlet and splotches of thickfilm are eventually left. A sweet caramel malt on the nose. That same is coupled with grassy hops on the palate. Light bodied and creamy. Not as effervescent as I'd like. But could be a good session beer with fine Oktoberfest foods.
