Golden-colored lager reminiscent of the pale lagers popular in the Bavarian region of Germany. Malty, toasty flavors derived from a blend of Munich and two-row barley malts are balanced by a careful blend of hops to give this beer a complex palate and exceptional drinkabiltiy. A nice complement to any dish or conversation.

Deep, rich golden yellow with a thick head and lacing until tomorrow... spicy notes on the pallette with a crisp finish. A lot of lagers could learn from this one. Medium bodied and balanced. Worthy.

On tap from the brewery. Was served with a lime wedge, I was a bit taken back, but our server said it would enhance the beers aroma and palate. Poured a light golden color, good carbonation, small white head. Slightly sweet malt smell, the lime added a citrus kick. Malty grain flavor, sweetness balanced with some bitter hops. Dry and crisp finish, the lime seemed to help cut through the carbonation bite. Actually very drinkable, kept an open mind with the lime, enjoyed this on a hot afternoon.

Thanks to Brett for this nice lager. This classic style, and this excellent version, give proof that a beer doesn't have to be bold or assertive to be wonderfully satisfying. As stated on the label, this beer is simple AND elegant, from the bright golden color, white bubbly head and fresh aromas of munich malts and german hops to the soft malt flavors and tantalizingly understated hop-bitter finish. Nicely crafted, this is what many macro brewers SAY they brew, while failing miserably in doing so.

Another brew courtesy of Brett. Decent brew overall. Pours a nice bright golden colour, with a big fluffy head and plenty of biscuit malts. Aroam is slightly hopped, taste is of malts and fruit.

This poured a light golden color with almost no head. It had a very malty aroma as well as a malty flavor with a yeasty aftertaste. This also had a more full mouthfeel.

Sampled on draft at the brewery & from bottle. Pours rich gold with a large white head. A very delicate aroma is followed by a bold, spicy noble hop and munich malt-dominated flavor. Bitterness lingers. Medium-light-bodied and well-carbonated. A fine lager beer and worthy of its GABF medal.
