Drinking from coconut, but think it poors white with white foam. Coconut aroma and taste. Actually not bad, with the spicy African dishes we ordered. (Amsterdam 201504)

From Bootlegger, Paris. Thought with this one I'd be getting an African beer, or so suggested the label. Sadly not so, and I could've brought home something so much better than this "stuff". Appearance was most odd, with a frothy white head over a murky yellow body. Not at all beer-like to the eye. Aroma was hugely coconut - is this a chi-chi and not a beer? Tastes nothing like a beer, coconut and cinnamon here, I think. Not revolting to the palate and the mouthfeel is at least acceptable. I'd rank this along with the disgusting Garlic Beer from Brew Bros and the Rogue Chipotle as beer abominations. Oh yes, and it was too sweet by far.

The debacle is not worth wasting 150 characters on. First of all, coconut, be it toasted or not is not meant for beer, only cream pies. Overly sweet aroma and flavour killed this beer.

Bottled. Hzy orange colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is coconut, some mild fruity yeast as well as mild notes of caramel. Flavour is a huge coconut bomb with some mild fruityness and lots of sugary sweetness.

fully cloudy lactic-orange colour under a solid white head which leaves a nice lace; aroma of coconut liquor like Batida, which I used to like a lot when I was 18, but those times are over ...; very sweet, oily, no beer character, long cloying aftertaste of coconut, aftershave and overmatured bananas - brrr...

330 ml bottle. This is obviously a different beer from the 7% ABV Mongozo Coconut. This one is probably brewed for the Swedish market (Sweden has a 3.5% limit for beers sold in grocery stores), but it is now also available in Norway (ULTRA stores a.o.). Gushes out of the bottle, opaque straw colored, decent white head. INTENSE sweet aroma of coconut suntan oil, which is a smell I like, but not necessarily in beer! More unpleasant "chemical" notes come through later on. Flavour is very sweet and reminds me of the coconut & sugar filling in Bounty chocolates. Pretty bad beer, but not quite as disgusting as Mongozo Banana.
