Our Oktoberfest beer is true to tradition with a blend of German malt, hops and yeast, and nothing else. These smooth, rich, golden Bavarian lagers were originally brewed in spring and cold aged to perfection until "Fest" beer season in the fall.

Pours a orangey pale golden colour with a thin layer of head, a bit foamy. Lot of carbonation. Good lacing. Aromas of grains, vanilla and malts. Flavour is light roasted malts, a bit yeasty, some hops, not too distinct. Somewhat tingly mouthfeel, a bit sweet. Not too bad.

Part of the Mill Street Autumn Harvest Sampler with 3 of these (and 3 of the Nightmare on Mill Street). Pours a clean amber colour with a big frothy off-white head, great retention and loads of lacing. Mild caramel malt nose. The taste is slightly better than the aromas. Just more going on. Flavours that are fruity with notes of grain malts and just a tad of bitterness. Not the best for the style, but still, decent brew overall that goes down smooth.

The beer was part of the Mill Street Autumn Harvest 6-pack with Nightmare on Mill Street Pumpkin. The beer pours a golden-orange colour with absolutely no head. The aroma is sweet malt, caramel, and some flowery hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour has a definite metallic tang to it. mixed in with sweet grainy notes. I have two more of these I may wait a while to drink.
