Mill Street’s version of a Czech-style Pilsner lager with more of everything in it - malt, hops and alcool ! ("Doppel" means "double" in German). German malts and hops along with Czech Saaz hops weave a large but delicate balance between smooth malt richness and dry floral hoppiness. Prost !

Mill Street 10th Anniversary Sampler Pack
February 15, 2013
Beer pours a clear gold colour with a thin white ring for a head. Aroma is grains and cereal. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly creamy, with mild carbonation. Flavour is grainy malt, with a bitter finish, Quite easy to drink. -

If it wasn't in the sampler pack I wouldn't even have tried it. Looks good to start but fades quickly. Nice flavour with a surprisingly creamy mouthfeel. Would'nt seek this one out.

Pours a huge thick foamy off white head. Has a darker pale amber appearance. Some very nice dirty lacing. Aromas of hops and lighter malts. A bit of grains in the mix. Flavours are well balanced between the hops and malts. Has a certain sweetness to it as well. Pretty darn good addition to the mixer packs and would be nice for a regular outing.

Bottle from 10th anniversary sampler: Pours as hazed honey gold with a tight creamy white cap that stacks out of the glass, lasts and leaves plenty of lace on the glass. Modest carbonation, Aroma is full of malty-cereal tones, a touch of sweetness and an undertone of spicey Saaz hopping. Flavour is really well balanced between the rich pilsner malting and the Saaz hop bittering, smooth with a lingering finish of sweetness and bittering. Sight warming in the end, a nice doppel pils, very easy to drink and satisfying. Direct competition to King Pilsbock.

Part of their new 6-pack sampler celebrating 10 great years. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with an average head that leaves a nice creamy coating over the brew. Big malty grain nose at first with some sweetness. Medium-bodied and some nice stick to it. The taste is surprisingly mild overall, but nicely balanced between the sweet malt, the cereal grain and the hop bitterness. This is a nice addition to their tester pack and am pleased to try this.
