Mikkeller's tribute to the green gold.

Pours a slight hazy amber colour with a big frothy warm cap, great retention and thick foamy lacing. This is the smell of IPA I do not really like. Deep green grass over caramel with some dark fruit notes. The taste is better with some nice bitterness from the grass with less of the dark fruits which is what does not blend well. Bitterness lingers over mild malt. I prefer the flavours of this one than the aromas. Good points, but not one I would have again.

Pours a huge frothy beige head and has a hazy murky brown appearance. Thick dirty lacing. Aromas of earthy and spice hops as well as toasty malts. Flavours of bready and toasty malts. Also some fairly strong and bitter type hops are quite prominent. Fairly sweet notes like caramel and toffee come through. Good retention. Pretty lively carbonation.

Part of the 2014 Mikkeller feature at the LCBO. The beer pours a hazed golden copper colour with a generous rocky tan coloured head. The aroma is pine, citrus, and caramel. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is pine and light grapefruit with caramel and spices. Decent, but not earth shattering. -

Only bought one from the LCBO. I think I need to go back before they sell out. Rusty coloured pour with a large head that retains half way. Sweet malt and citrus, piney hops. Smooth medium /full creamy mouthfeel. Wonderful well balanced flavour. Sweet start with pineapple and melon. Grapefruit, lemon, pine and floral hops..Ok lets get some more

Had as "Hoppy Easter." Pours a hazy golden amber with a fairly thick cream-white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity, the latter mainly orange. Richly, downright fiercely hoppy flavor has undertones of orange, evergreen and malty. Texture is fairly smooth yet lively and fizzy. A must for hop lovers.

A muddy brown amber colored beer with a very big frothy textured tan head rising above. There's was great hang time on the had. It settles into an impressively thick ringlet and film. A roasted coffee and citric hoppiness in the nose. More of the same in the tasting. A medium, filmy body. Very good.

Had as Green Easter. Pours a clear, appetizing chestnut with a thick, fine-bubbled and rather persistent wheaten head. Bold aroma is very hoppy, mainly on the evergreen/resin end of the spectrum, with a hint of grapefruit. Fiercely hoppy flavor has about equal parts wood and evergreen, with malty and sour citrus undertones. Firm texture is quite fizzy and lively, leaving a nice woody hop and slightly citrus finish. Green Gold or Green Easter, definitely a treasure.

On Tap at the Sugarbowl in Edmonton. American Style IPA with some scandanvaian influence, but not tons....Simple, medium bodied, all the IPAs are really more and more running into eachother for me.... some melon and flowers and maybe even dried flowers (thats different I swear). Nice. Light, airy, fun, drinkable.

Has a definite pine/spruce edge to it. Not terribly fresh me thinks, but still quite good, a testament to this well made brew. Slightly sweeter and thicker than expected at 7%. Grapefruit and tree, with a pronounced bitter finish. not great, but nice.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Brewed at Fanø Bryghus. ABV is 7.0%. Amber colour, large off-white head. Aroma of American hops, notes of grapefruit, spruce and pine. The flavour is distinctly hoppy throughout, grapefruit, pine and spruce again, very bitter and nearly medicinal aftertaste.
