This beer was a sweet and sugary mess. I hated this nasty beer. It certainly sounded interesting and I am a huge fan of bourbon cask brews, however, this resembled a cask beer about as much as a Budweiser resembles a Westy 12. It sucked.

A 6% beer from Anheuser-Busch? That's not a malt liquor? I'm floored. A medium brown pour with a white head...the aroma is malty with a few spices thrown in, some vanilla, and a weak hint of bourbon. The flavour is very sweet and a complete turn-off.

I keep flipping back and forth over this one. Has potential to be one of their winners, but I'm not so sure that it is. I saw it on the shelf right before New Year's and it was the last 6-pack, so figured could be a popular "hot" beer and decided to grab it while it was still there. I like some of the other new Michs, especially their Pale Ale and Jack's Pumpkin Spice (for the price that is)....so decided to try this out. Basically, it is what it is. The flavors overall work for me, but the balance it not the greatest. At the end when all the sweet spices & vanilla, when all the oak goes away, you can taste some mild hops there. It really isn't a bad beer, I would say a slightly below average seasonal. Worth the try, just don't think I'd get again.

Wickedly tasty, and a great drink. The head is thin, and there is some lacing, but not much. A Christmas beer through and through. I recommend this to anyone who likes seasonal beers as much as I do.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Appearance: On top it has a light tan and somewhat fizzy, fast fading head. Its head fades out to nothing quickly and leaves no lacing behind. There is some visible carbonation inside of the rich dark amber colored body with good clarity. Smell: The aroma is very sweet with deep candy like malt character with a soft touch of vanilla. Taste/Mouth feel: The flavor has a thin malty character with some candy like sweetness and mild caramel notes as well as a soft touch of vanilla throughout. The finish dries a bit and brings some light woody oak notes. The texture is a little bit on the thin side and the body is fairly light as well. The carbonation comes off very fizzy. Notes: With this beer I was just not really impressed and I would not recommend it.

not nearly as bad as i was expecting (i bought it as a joke), but after the half way point of a pint, the vanilla was beginning to be a little too much...and there's not much else there.

Pours off-white head that fades instantly leaving no lace. Nice crystal clear amber color. Vanilla nose. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Starts sweet, smooth vanilla and some hops, kind of like a vanilla coke without the fizz but with hops. Not like any cask ale I have tasted.

I really like this beer and was surprised to find out it is a Busch product. Pours a dark, brown color. There was a little tan head and a tad bit of lacing. Aroma was of malt and vanilla. Taste was vanilla with some malt and caramel. very good!

Okay, I was drawn to the labeling. Cute wintery, polar bear labeling. And so I popped open one. The color is a clear amber. The head is moderately robust and whitish-brown froth. It has no hang time settling into a soapy ring. A lot of carbonation as bubbles continuously rise ro the top. The aroma is unique in the defintely stated tones of vanilla. The body is creamy, kinda like drinking a cream soda. The taste is cream, vanilla, and subtle spices that enhance the sweetness of the malt. Not the most robust spice ale I’ve had. It doesn’t stand out with character, but it isn’t a bad drink.
