Pours a clear, straw color. 1/2 inch head of a white color. Great retention and decent lacing. Smells of pale malt, sweet malt, grain, yeast, and slight hop. Fits the style of an Euro Pale Lager. Mouth feel is smooth and clean with an average carbonation level. Tastes of pale malt, grain, slight sweet malt, slight metallic, hint of hops.

330 ml capped bottle, as Menabrea Birra 1846. Poured a clear golden-yellow coloured Lager with a three fingers white pillowy creamy foamy head that had a good retention and a lot of micro bubbles. Mid-sized carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is grainy malts, corn, some hay, some citrus and faint floral hops. The flavour is..., after a long quest, minimum grainy malts, cereals. The mouthfeel is prickly and watery. This light bodied Lager has a dry mineral finish. May be a thirst-quenching lager but a lager without noticeable flavours. A deception.

I realy loved this beer. I know...it is a bit strange that I would be the only one with a positive review. But the thing is that I got this in the Pub located in the brewery in Biella. Honestly when I have got this beer in bottle is has been a different story. Not a good one. So in order to realy enjoy this beer I guess we need to include a ticket to Biella, Italy in the price for a pint. But its is a good pint :-)

it seems to me Italy does pale lagers better than just about everyone else. here's another that's nothing to write home about, but i'd have no problem ordering one at a restaurant.

Found another pale lager that I really enjoyed. I was a little worried on the pour, which initially reminded me of dirty dishwater. A muted orangish/yellow-y hazy body with a pretty small 1/2" white head. That’s where the disappointed ended. The aroma was refreshingly yeasty with a light apricot note. Body is sweet for a pale lager, but nothing distracting. Light grassy notes show up at the end of the palate and the finish is very clean. No lingering bitterness or off flavors. Very nice pale lager.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow color lager with a medium size pure white bubbly head with average retention and not much lacing. Aroma of sweet adjunct is not very interesting. Taste is also dominated by some sweet adjunct though quite bland at the end of the day. Body is about average with some average carbonation as well. I am sure Italy as a lot more to offer in terms of craft beer then this crap.

A typical clear straw-yellow, not much of a head. Aroma is crisp and strong, but otherwise unremarkable. Flavor is rather typical of a lager - malty and crisp but not complex; at least it tastes like beer. Texture is smooth and just a little tingly.

Poured a decent white cap for a pale lager that was really noisy and disappeared to a thin film very quickly, comes complete with a pale gold body. Nat says it looks like champagne. Musty apple, weak Euro hops, very mild aroma that’s non offensive. Flavour is also very mild with bready / grass clipping malts and a metallic finish. Hops come across dark and bitter but also very mild. This comes across overall very sweet with a barnyard like quality but it remains drinkable but very forgettable.

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger, as Menabrea Birra 1846. ABV in Norway is 4.7%. Crystal clear golden colour, big and lasting white head. Strong and sweetish fruity aroma. The flavour is fairly clean and zesty, no unpleasant off-flavours, moderate hops in the finish. Definitely not the worst pale lager I’ve had.

Pale yellow/straw. Rockey white head that fades quickly. Grainy malt nose, light weight. Subtle reminder of Corona or similar.... must be the maize. Flavour like the nose. Hollow & watery. No mid palate. Slight cloying feel at the end, medium bitterness. No hop flavour. Perhaps a good food beer, but not particularly exciting on its own.
