12.10.05 growler, RLB YEHA-05 Man did I ever have a hard time figuring out what this one was. Pale amber gold. No head but this was from a growler. Aroma is diapers, cat piss, herbal, and dried spring flowers. Flavor is minty, plus orange, herbs de provence, mustard, lots of corriander. Sharp and quick ending. Unusual and tasty. Glad there was a growler for extra samples.

I had McKenzie Vuuve XXxXX at the Kennett Square Brewfest. It poured a hazy redish/golden color. It had a balance of grapefruit with a slightly stronger hoppy finish but still slightly smooth and sweet. An excellent Imperial IPA.

Poured a hazy amber color with a medium sized, creamy, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, resin, grassy hops, tropical fruits, spices and caramel malts. Taste of grapefruit, more spices, juicy Styrians, lots of pine (tasted like a christmas tree!), with nice sweet malt to balance everything out, and finishing with just a little alcohol. I’m not even being biased here, this is a serious fucking beer! This can certainly compete with the best double IPAs in the world, hands down.
