Strong aroma has malty, caramel, molasses, yeast and cloves notes, very appealing. It pours a nice clear amber with a typical ivory head. Flavor has fruity, malty and earth notes as well as a hint of cloves. Texture is smooth, average-bodied and just a bit slimy, with minimum fizz. Merry whatever-you-celebrate-this-time-of-year!

A bright, colorful label provides attraction. The beer is a deep amber color with a big frothy, tan head rising above. There's some hang time. Light dudting of film and thick ringlet are what is left behind. Light pears, wheat in the nose. Grassy dominance in the tasting. A full, creamy beer. Gets better as it warms.

probably an average bock, maybe a touch better, but i like the style, so there you go. aroma and palate seem light at first but it's quite flavorful. sweet tofee toasted malt and grassy hops in the finish for balance. nice and easy drinking.

Not so great bock. This beer is just too sweet. It tastes a bit like a simple unhopped beer in an unpleasant, malt extract way. The beer is a hazy amber-brown with a rocky white that dissipates quickly. The aroma is mostly caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with a bad finish. The mouthfeel is too thin and a bit sticky. I won’t be buying this again.

Pours a light copper, almost golden with thick bubbly white head. Aroma is malty sweet with some spices. Taste isn't extraordinary but still pretty decent--some spice and hints of banana and caramel. A little lighter than I expected but not bad.

A somewhat vigorous pour produces a fat-two-finger thick, pale tan colored head. The beer is a brilliatnly clear, deep ruby color that shows a red stained, dark copper color when held up to the light. Grassy hop aromatics and honey / concentrated malt notes drive the aromas here. This is quite malt focused, but something seems a bit aged or stale here (despite this being a new release to my local package store). Touches of cherry, lots of maillard components, and just plain richly concentrated malt notes.
Medium-light mouthfeel makes this fairly drinkable if not even quaffable. The beer has a clean grain sweetness to it that quickly picks up concentrated malt notes that are reminiscent of toffee and cooked raisins. The beer finishes with a sharpness that seems contributed by an herbal hop bitterness and perhaps some part of the malt character. A touch of tartness accentuates the raisin-like flavors and helps to offset the chewy mouthfeel a bit. The hops add a bit of a spicy & herbal component to the finish.
An interesting beer, but it seems a bit stale somehow, especially the the malt seems a bit flabby here.

interesting label, reminds me of "the Grinch who stole Christmas". poured a golden brown like amber with some froggy green clouds! "wired" its a pretty sweet beer i have to say that it seems a little light for a bock! some fruity background like a sweet strawberry! there's also grassy and herbal notes.

What a mess this one was not sure what went wrong. Pour amber color with a okay head and good lacing. Aroma was skunky at first then grass hops? Flavor was overwelmed by grassy hops. Mouthfeel was thin to say the least. not good

Ah, not what I was expecting. This one came across as a mix between a maibock and a pilsner - not good. The pour was the most impressive part, clear amber color with a nice head and great lacing. The aroma was skunky upon opening the bottle and then skunk to grassy in the glass. The flavor was bready and earthy with a grassy hop finish. Malts were maybe caramel-like, but overshadowed by the hops. Mouthfeel was fairly light and dry, as I was expecting something more thick.
