Séance is a dark, complexly concocted Saison, rich with earthy hues and flavors. A mild tartness begins the journey, and an underlying hop bitterness sweeps the senses through a newly opened door of the mind, where you will soon find subtle hints of ripe fruit, bringing you to a place few dare to roam.

Earthy and herbal...hard to pick out what's going on in here. Dark brown pour, assertive aroma. Not as much of the traditional saison qualities as expected, but a fairly assertive flavor for a 4% brew. Sessionable and unique, but just above average.

A deep., dark brown colored beer with a very big frothy textured, light brown head rising robustly above. There's great hang time on this head. Beautiful lacing left behind as it settles. Fruity, yeasty and grassy in both the nose and the tasting. The flavors are alive in this one. The body is light-medium and easy to drink on a warm summer afternoon.

Pours a semi-transparent cola brown with a fairly thick, if not persistent, tan head. Aroma has earthy, malty, and subtle yeasty and fruity notes. Flavor is mainly earthy and fruity, an undertone of roast malt, a bit on the thin side. Texture is a bit watery but has good fizz. A good beer at the end of summer and beginning of autumn.

This is one of the new Magic Hats that I will remember. A good dark beer for the summer that is on the lighter side. Dark brown appearance with a frothy head that sticks around for a while. This is more like a darker farmhouse ale. Tastes like a brown ale with some slightly tart fruit. Flavor is earthy/grassy, wheat, chocolate malt, fruit, etc. Nice balance in the package. Got in the Night of the Living Dead variety pack, but this is something I would buy a 6 or 12 of on it's own.
