A big thanks to my uncle for seeing this beer, thinking I would enjoy it, picking it up, and then passing it on to my parents for VA delivery! This ber was pretty good. My major complaint was that it was quite thin - it flowed VERY quickly out of the bottle and didn't stick to the glass. Putting that aside, the beer was a nice dark/almost blackish brown. Flavor was standard porter with hints of charcoal and roast. I was expecting more of a fire branded porter, but it was a nice beer nonetheless. Good job Magic Hat.

A dark ebony in color with a frothy textured light brown head rising above. Good hang time on the head. Settles eventually into a thick soapy ringlet. Light smokiness in the nose. Mose of that smokiness in the tasting with a syrupy licorce. Full bodied and smooth.
