"An India Pale Lager, combines two great beer experiences into one," Magic Hat Brand Manager Ryan Daley told The Drink Nation. "Taking the great hop character of an IPA and combining that with the smooth finish of an amber lager, Dream Machine is a beer that balances both flavor and finish to deliver a totally unique drinking experience." Brewed with Nugget and Cascade hops, then dry-hopped with Amarillo and Sterling, there's a crisp citrus so even the bitter of the hops, never lingers for too long. Drink up, it's only 5.7% ABV. Dream Machine is rolling out now, and already showing up at bars and beer shops that carry Magic Hat beers.

Has some hops to it, but still has that pale lager flavor to it vs. the IPA portion. Could be better balanced...perhaps some more malt? I've been getting into this style over the past year, but this one wasn't really doing it for me.

Pours a clear, dark, bubbly amber with a thick, fluffy eggshell head. Hoppy aroma is mainly woody and has a dusty hay overtone plus just a hint of citrus. Hops dominate the pleasing flavor, supporting woody and crisp malty notes plus a snip of orange. Texture is not too firm, but has decent fizz. Maybe not the beer of my dreams, but definitely fantastic.

A bright, bold copper-amber in color with a big sudsy textured, off white head rising above. There a some hang time on the head. It settles into a robust ringlet. A grainy, light citric nose. Bolder bready, grassy, citric tasting. Crisp, effervescent.
