You know he’s arrived. Wheeling through the party, being too loud, crowding the buffet, lurking under the mistletoe and spilling cheer. He’s a lot like this beer. Its dark malt body and rich roasted flavor will unravel your ribbons and leave you wanting more. Too bad it only comes once a year. Good thing is there’s plenty more where it came from. Malts: Caramel, Black Roast, Wheat and Oats Hops: Northern Brewer and Willamette

Very little tan head. Not much aroma. Opaque, nearly black color. Light body, which is not expected of a "Holiday Porter." Has a dry, carbonated feel that I was not thrilled with. Hardly the rich flavor it claims to have. Although it is not a bad beer, I wouldn't go out of your way for this brew.

From Pt Roberts, WA, Marketplace. Looked good, with a slim tan head above a thick and black body. Head was short-lived, and aroma was scant. Taste was adequate, with maybe some coffee notes. Mouthfeel was too thin by far for a so-called "winter warmer". A mediocre beer.

They claim that this is a winter porter. Pours black with a healthy brown head. That's the good. Aroma has a slight chocolate malt with small traces of spice. Laces a little. Flavor is more that of a dark lager. Mouthfeel is watery. Nothing I would recremend or buy again.
