Pours a pale yellow color with fluffy white head which dissipates quickly. The aroma is shunky, hops and sour grainy malt. The taste is sweet malt, and grassy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied.

A buddy who goes to Burning Man festival brought me a bottle of this. Says they use the empty bottles and through lights in them out there. I can see that being cool, but actually drinking this beer is not so cool. I'm not into Pale Lagers, so this just blends in with the rest of them. Somewhat balanced if really cold I guess. Flavors of corn and grain.....very watery. I actually just saw this at Whole Foods this week for about $11.99/6-pack. They must be selling the bottle, not the beer.....though I don't want to knock the value of enlightenment.

Gotta say the design of the bottle was an eye catcher. That said, to the beer. A brught golden colored beer with a three fingered frothy textured white head rising above. Bubbles are seen rising in the bottle. There's some hang time in the head. A thin ringlet is left. Sweet malt and grassy hops in the nose. Sine caramel and a fair amount of grassy hops. No where close to my preferred style but it was drinkable.

Had at Piranha Killer Sushi in Fort Worth, TX as Lucky Buddha. Aroma is crisp, malty and slightly fruity. Nothing to write home about, but OK. Pours a typical pale yellow with not much of a head. Malty, crisp, slightly fruity flavor is typical but enjoyable. Smooth, fairly fizzy texture is the best part. Still, it’s worth ordering for the cute bottle!

Acquired from trade with Chopz. Poured in glass, has a very light golden appearance. Not much head really, some upon pouring but quickly dissolves. Weak lacing. Very much malty yeasty aromas. Somewhat bitter hops, light malt, grainy flavours. An ok brew, wicked bottle though.

I must say, the little green Buddha bottle caught my eye at the LCBO. Came in a 6-pack and reminded me of Heineken when drank from the bottle. Poured, it is golden, clean, has a big frothy white head that stays quite long (one of the longest lager head retention) and lacing is pretty dirty. Grainy malt nose at first, and then, some hints of pears. Mild malt taste, but still grainy, that reminds me of some local micros. A better than average pale lager (if you forget the nice bottle).

Straw yellow appearance with little head that quickly fizzes away leaving almost no lacing. Smell consists of grain, grass, sweetness and some malt. Taste is similar, mainly grain, corn, sweetness and grassiness. Light bodied with low carbonation. Aftertaste has a lingering bitter grass taste, but fairly dry overall.Overall this is generic, it has many features of a cheap adjunct beer its worth a try if you want the bottle.

Bottle: pours a lush gold color, small white cap, moderate carbonation. Aroma is very light but there are hints of boiled cereals, some fruityness. Thin mouthfeel, light body, clean and uneventful. Flavor is mild with some graininess and a hint of hops, apple and sweetness, fast clean thin finish. Might pair well with spicy Tai foods but I really bought it for the bottle

Great sculpture bottle, a big green fat guy, what more could you possibly want. Body and mouth feel is a bit thin, nicely refreshing, flavor is thin with a slight hint of bitterness with ok carbonation. A useful hot weather beverage, but it won't impress the beer snobs on your social list.
