Our buddy Pat Balding makes some fine, locally roasted organic coffee under the name Ridge Runner Coffee, right here in Athens, Ohio. It’s what we drink at home, and it’s what we prefer to use when brewing beers with coffee. Ridge Runner Lil’ Harvey’s is simply our milk stout, cold-infused with Ridge Runner coffee beans, ground the same day. We use different varieties of coffee to make this beer. The latest batch uses a shade-grown organic Rwanda medium roast.
