The new seasonal beer harkens to a time when multiple generations of the Leinenkugel family would gather with friends and enjoy a special brew crafted especially for the holiday time of year. While the star of this holiday seasonal is the roasted malt character, the well-balanced flavor and brilliant amber tones give Leinenkugel’s Fireside Nut Brown a comforting approachability that you don’t experience in traditional English-style nut browns. English two-row malts give this lager a maple aroma and pronounced chocolate, caramel and hazelnut top notes that dance around the palate before finishing gracefully. Brewed in small, high-quality batches at Leinenkugel’s brewery in Chippewa Falls, Wis, Leinenkugel’s Fireside Nut Brown Lager is the perfect complement for holiday foods such as glazed hams, roasts, gravies, pies and pastries.

Sup bar with a slightly mildewy taste. Definitely now know what that wet cardboard flavor is that reviewers talk about, Don't expect this to have anything to nuts and I would enjoy the fire and sitting in the smoke of it more than this ale. It's drier to be sure, but not much else other than that.

A little too sweet for me by the end of the bottle, couldn't finish a second one. Aroma is light, bready and nutty. Flavor is a nutty sweetness that is good at first but overwhelming by the end. A good looking beer, nice clear brown with a good healthy head.

A bright copper colored beer with a big foamy textured, light beige head. There's some hang time. No lacing is apparent. The nose is light bready. There is a strong nutty, sweet malt presence on the tongue. Medium and smooth

Like a lot of other Leinie offerings, this is a bland beer. I really got nothing out of the aroma besides some sweetness. Thin and watery with mild notes of nuts and caramel malt in the flavor. Just not worth coming back to.

Smells like mildew and dirt. Pours thin. Looks like a diet soda. All foamy then nothing. Mouthfeel is more than I expected. Almost silky but then flat. Taste is sweet, malty and nutty. I like it (except for the dirt smell). It's OK. I think I'll make a nice stew with it.

It pours a dark copper color with thin light-tan head and copious lacing. A fairly rich aroma of caramel malts, hops, bread and yeast, citrus, and mild spices. The mouthfeel is smooth and average-bodied. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, citrus, bread & yeast, nuts, and spiciness. Very good!

a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. i was pretty shocked at how enjoyable this beer was, and as it stands now, one of my favorite brown ales. light brown color, and a light body that ends up fitting the beer. a heavier beer this sweet would have been cloying, but this was not. aroma is nutty, tootsie roll, and a hint of smoke. flavor much the same, but replace the hint of smoke with a hint of caramel. you can tell that something in there is artificial, but it tasted and smelled so nice, and was such a nice surprise, i didn't even care. possible upon multiple revisits, this score would be downgraded, but for now, gotta show it the love. best Leinenkugel beer I've had.

This beer poured a pale amber, not as dark as I though it would be. The aroma was warm and nutty with nice sweet notes. The flavor fell flat. It didn't have as rich of a flavor as I would like. I found myself wanting more chocolate, almond, and oak tastes. The beer was a little wattery. A disappointment from the Leinenkugel Brewery.

not as thick as i would have expected but nice flavor and a just this side of TOO sweet aroma. i have had it a bunch and didn't mind it at all almost as good in the bottle as it is on tap.

Has a nice, if not too strong, yeasty and slightly spicy aroma with a malty undertone. It pours a warm, clear golden amber with a fairly thick, though not persistent, cream-white head. Flavor is malty and yeasty and just a little spicy, mainly cinnamon. Texture is typically smooth and fairly fizzy.
