Pours a bubbly clear chestnut with a respectable light tan head. Malty aroma has a strong, sweet overtone of caramel plus nutty and earthy hints. Flavor has malty, woody, earthy, caramel and nutty notes of varying strengths; it is quite sweet, but the hoppy/woody bitterness nicely balances that so it isn't cloying. Firm, syrupy texture is not too fizzy, but still satisfying. Go big for Oktoberfest!

This pours a clear, amber orange color with a foamy off-white head, that faded quickly but leaves some thick lace. The aroma is very inviting with lots of spice and malt. This is probably one of the heaviest Oktoberfest beers I’ve had. Malt dominant of course but while noticeable the hops dont quite take the sweetness down a notch like it should. Also some hints of dark fruit and some earthy tones. Not exactly what I’m looking for an Oktoberfest style beer but it’s still interesting.

Beautiful copper pour with a near-perfect creamy head and very nice lacing. Sweet malts and more than ample Noble-like hops in both the nose and palate, nicely caramelly sweet meets boozy hot and Noble hops/grassy bitter. Still, a bit boozy - more like a hoppy Doppelbock. Worth a try.
