Pours rich, warm sable with a finie-bubbled buttery tan head. Nose-filling aroma has roast malt, molasses, caramel, and subtle smoky coffee tones. Magical flavor pleases with quality coffee, roast and smoky malt, molasses, and caramel notes. Texture is firm and viscous, fairly fizzy. Let this brew do its voodoo on you!

Pours out a solid black color with no head. The aroma smells like cream soda. The mouthfeel is thicker than average. The taste is of dark roasted malt and mild coffee and cream.

Single big bottle from Albertsons in Vegas. Pours a dark brown colour with a creamy beige head, creating creamy sticky lacing, after disappearing slowly. Cacao aromas with vanilla notes, Mild roasted malts and lots of hops for the style. Smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Again, quite hoppy for the taste over the chocolate malt, finishing with good bitterness. This American Stout is quite a treat with all the strong spots for this style, plus hops. Just a little too expensive as similar products had this week, were half the price.

Robust brew, like an imperial without the massive hops or sweetness or alcohol. A strong dry export, perhaps? Chocolate, roasted malt and a hint of coffee and licorice. Bitterness in the flavor brings it together nicely.

Pours a pitch black with not much of a head at all. You can tell that it is carbonated. Aroma is dry with hints of chocolate and cherries with a very sweet backing. Fizzy to the tongue. Taste is of dark chocolate, coffee, and a slightly hoppy bitterness. Fairly dry and finishes that way as well. I like it, not bad. Reminds me of a foreign/extra stout (2012 bronze winner for that category from what the bottle says).

From Pt Roberts (WA) Marketplace, in a bomber. Three fingers of creamy borwn head and a nearly black, opaque body. Aroma was a nice blend of chocolate, coffee and malt. Flavour was much the same but with more of the dark chocolate. Smooth finish, and the ABV was not evident.

22oz bottle -
A very solid stout in every way possible. Standard mocha aroma for a stout, but also I pick up molasses and a touch of hand soap. Flavor has a smooth coffee/chocolate thing going on that's very simple but effective. Light hops seem to float in the background a little bit bit of scorched sugar. Creamy body almost makes the mouthfeel resemble it's bigger brother. Lot's of similarities I think to Witch Doctor. -

22oz bottle, abv listed: 8.5% .. . Never underestimate the power of a free hat. .. Pours a 2am black .. nice coco head, light lacing .. . light roast, cooking chocolate, heavy tar, grandpa pipe resin, and light decaf espresso grounds .. . great slick mouthfeel .. . a well made brew, and the abv is well masked too, a good imperial stout! .. . .
Well then we're gonna end up freezing his hellish heart with a cool island song.
Oh, do we wanna do that? -

Voo Doo pours a deep black body, with a small tan, creamy head. Aroma is mostly roasted chocolate malts. Flavor is much the same as the aroma but with a bitter chocolate taste making an entrance, very light presence of dark fruit. Overall a decent enough stout, not great but ok.

Another nice beer from a brewery that I've never heard of. Pours a solid black with a milk-chocolate brown head. The foam disappears a little too quickly, but what can you do? The sudsy top is probably the least interesting aspect of any given beer anyway. The flavor profile is ripe with chocolate. I might even be tempted to call this a "sweet stout" for all the chocolate in it. A quick flash of hops, just before the swallow...bittersweet chocolate aftertaste. The aroma is rich and malty...This is a really nice stout. Above average to be sure, but nothing absolutely spectacular.
