Following an original principle developed by the Brasserie Lefebvre, Belgian Kriek is blended from white beer and fruit juice. In this instance, 15% sour cherry juice is added. From the white beer, Belgian Kriek takes a refreshing sweetness and its creamy head. The cherry juice lends a fine rich red colour, a delicate acidity and its fruity bouquet. It has an emphatic cherry nose. The slightly tangy first sip is counterbalanced by a rich sweetness on the palate. The finish is fresh and without a bitter aftertaste. A magnificently balanced beer which deserves its nickname, Mon Amour.

Bottled. Hazy red colour with pink mediumsized bubbly head, which disappears quite fast. Aroma is sweet cherry with mild nuttyness and cardboard. Flavour is quite much the same, with the cardboard being even more evident than in the aroma.

A the first sip i thought "cherry coke" with a smoke meat from Schwartz deli in Montreal hum hum!Best in the world!About the beer it's quite sweet with great concentration of cherry taste with just a little sourness...Very refreshing,a good introduction to fruit beer;our teen twins daughters loved this beer a bit surprising because they never like it before...

Part of the Lefebvre gift-pack, this one pours a cloudy dark pink (on the red-side) colour with a light pink creamy head. Great retention and thick creamy lacing. Chunks of yeast end up at the bottom of the glass. A very pleasant dessert cherry aroma is present, with a touch of nuts, which reminds me of Amaretto. Says it uses 15% cherry juice in the ingredients list, and sugar also. The mouthfeel is not tarty, but not completely watery. Just smooth. The taste is mild compared to the smell. It is a little sweet, with a slight sourness in the background. Seems to be balanced out to impress visually, but yet, be accessible to normal drinkers. I still really enjoyed this one.

Bottle: Poured a deep pink color beer with a medium bubbly pink head with average retention. Aroma of cheery syrup is totally dominating but not overly gross and doesn’t have any of the cough medicine flavour that I really hate. Taste is also dominated by the sweetness of the cherry syrup but again doesn’t get to gross and is actually refreshing. While this beer is closer to an alcohol pop then anything else, it is still better then many other gross fruit beer form Belgium.

hazy dark reddish colour with a solid, pink-tainted creamy foam; strong overwhelming and quite artificial cherry aroma; slightly acidic, very sweet and thin-bodied; very few sourness, not enough in any case to balance the sweetness; sugary cherryish finish - humm .... a Belle-Vue clone

A very good kriek beer, not a lambic one. Really refreshing with sweetened taste but not too much. Also exist with a raspberry and fishing taste. Sorry for my english...
