Is this a novelty beer? Seriously… It explodes whenever you open it, try to pour it, drink it or even think about it. Maybe I will keep some of these in the back of the fridge to give to all the Beer Zombies that try to feed on the beer of the living. I know what I’m passing around next April fools day.

Rerate 5/25/05: Yes, Atlanta Brewing has really turned their beer around. The problems that so many people including myself were noticing a year ago are gone now. The Peachtree Pale is a solid beer as is the Red Brick Ale. The Red Brick Bock is better than solid and reaches into really good. This loses the off flavors of previous years and is now simply a decent pils. There’s a dry malty body and the hops are noticeable leaving a clean bitterness and slightly grassy aroma. Actually wouldn’t make for a bad lawn mower beer.

5/27/04: Not overly impressed. All of the Atlanta Brewing Company offerings that I’ve tried have this weird taste to them that I can’t place my finger on. It’s a bit unpleasant. This beer isn’t too bad though. Really light.

Had this one out of the bottle at the halftime cafe. It was actually pretty good contrary to all the shit shag was talkin about ABC. It was an orange hinting on red color with a full malty aroma. I tasted some definite hotness in this, kinda like a red dog, but way better.

Pisswater. Whoever said it's swill was correct. Aroma is that of American swill, with a grass (?) smell. Poured piss yellow with plenty of head. Taste had a hint of hoppiness (Saaz) but not enough to make it good. Overall, pretty pissy. No, nada, never again.

What is that weird underlying taste I get in all these guys beers? Well this one poured a cloudy yellow with a moldy citrus aroma. The flavor is very citrusy and somewhat bitter. Not as bad as I had feared to be honest. Overall its decent enough but not great. ABC is one sloppy odd brewery that needs to get its act together.

The aroma is sweet and seltzer-like with some citrus in the aroma as well as some spice-like characteristics. The appearance is a bronze to glowing orange and very hazy and cloudy-like with a big, off-white head that sits on top; this may be a result of it being past the "drink by date" on the bottle. The mouthfeel is light to medium in body and extremely carbonated, most likely because it is past the "drink by date" with some good complexity and decent balance. The flavor is citrus-like with some unique characteristics present that are hard to identify with a nice, refreshing finish that is pretty good. Overall, I am getting more that is not old and comparing it to this one because I think the age has affected the flavor and body of the beer. This beer is not as good as I remember but I am getting more to make sure.
