Hey, what can we say? Dogs do like to sniff down there. A British style ESB with the Laughing Dog twist. It's clean and smooth, the way an ESB should be. Silver Medal NABA.

Pours dark cooper with a faint haze. Thin head. Dominant bubble gum aroma with some caramel notes. Slightly bitter, bready with some tropical fruit. A bit too yeasty for an ESB for my tastes.

Amber body with a mid sized thick head, nice laceing. The intital aroma reminded me of peach flavored instant oatmeal, the toasted malts and some fruity yeast gave it that spin, kinda cool. Smooth, and creamy medium body. Big toasty malt character, biscuity with some fruits behind it and a nutty flavor throughout. Herbal hops give it a drying finish. Overall its a full flavored ESB, rich and fruity, an interesting twist on the style. Would purchase again.

From Zyn, in a bomber. Clear amber body and a cream ivory good with good retention. Aroma is hops, malt, and maybe some caramel, just like the flavour. Nice mouth and bitter finish.

Somebody brought me this beer thinking it was an awful beer, but that I would see the humour in the name.....I see it, and the beer is pretty good too. A transparent copper coloured beer with sweet bready aromas. Flavour is very true to an English style bitter with caramel sweetness and floral hops. Recommended

May be my first beer from Idaho. Definitely first beer from Laughing Dog. Been wanting to try them since I've seen it at Total Wine & More for the past year. They sold me on the label, as this really is not that good of a brew. Balance is off....over-carbonated, aroma smells like wet dog (no pun intended), etc. The appearance and hop finish on the flavor is about all going on here. For that the flavor is barely a 7. Kinda scared to try their others now for what they are charging. Why can't these brewers just bottle them in 6-packs and sell for what it's worth....$6-7 tops. To call this premium, stick a cool label on it, and sell for $5 a bomber is just a crime.

Aroma is fruity with a hint of yeast and a suggestion of brandy. It pours a dark, slightly hazy coppery amber, almost mahogany, with a pale buttery head that is quite frothy and hangs around for a bit. Flavor is fruity, a little malty and a little bitter - not particularly mouth-filling, but still acceptable. Texture is fairly smooth, a teensy watery, just a little fizzy. Not great, but worthy of at least a try.

A new brewery makes it to Florida, with whimsical names. This crotch sniffer is an amber colored beer. With a big foamy textured off white head that sticks around for awhile. It settles into an impressive lacing of film on the sides of the glass and a thick cap atop the body. There’s malt in the nose. There is also a strange, sour aroma I can’t identify. A little disconcerting. There’s a citrus in the tasting, and that sour ‘blanket’. A little too watered. Starts off great in appearance. Falls flat on the actual sampling.

Clear reddish amber with rich growning off-white foam. Strong well-rounded aroma without edges of cookies, nuts, brown sugar and crsip wet grassy hops. Medium-bodied with rounded and compact notes of treacles, crackers, nuts, toffee, resin and berries. Solid yet crisp mouthfeel. Long medium-bitter finish of nuts, grass and resin with smooth sweetish undertones of chcolate-cream. Really nice US-style ESB, this...

An amber apperance with a small head. The aroma isnt a crotch but instead some caramel, dark malts, and a hint of citrus. The flavor is slighty bitter and rather malty with some dark fruits, caramel, and a hint of lemons. Overall a pretty good beer.

Bottle courtesy Larry Pitonka/5000. Not from a favorite style of mine, but I picked it out anyway, and within style this one did fairly well. The pour was deep orange, nice head and lacing. The aroma was strong malts, caramel, toffee most notable with an earthiness also present. The flavor was earthy caramel, toffee, herbal notes, nuts, slight bittering hop finish but well behind all the strong malts. Mouthfeel was full and a bit grainy. Thanks, Andre!
