A light, refreshing American Pale Ale with enough hoppy characteristics to know that it’s definitely a San Diego native. A pale straw color with an ample white head and pronounced herbal aroma, the flavor is clean with sweet notes of apple and pear. Liberal hopping with Cascade and Nugget provide a nice citrus-accented bitterness.

Sampled at the brewery on 3/21/2013. This pale ale pours medium orange gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, herbal hops and caramel. A medium bodied pale ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Decent carbonation. Medium bitterness, kind of a cross between an American Pale Ale and an India Pale Ale. Nice lingering bitterness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
