    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

500 ml capped bottle. Poured in a Oberfränkisches Seidla a clear and dark mahogany-brown coloured MB D with a two fingers beige, dense and pillowy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is solid malts, with a light roastiness, dark fruits, plums, grapes and dried fruits, walnuts. The flavour is a solid light roasted malty backbone, caramel, dark fruits and molasses. The mouthfeel is creamy, thick and round. The texture is oily. This full bodied MB D has a dry malty and fruity finish and a noticeable warming effect. The alcohol is well masked. A nicely brewed Maibock Dunkel from the Lang brewery, near Wunsiedel in the Upper Franconia Fichtelmountains.
