This medium-bodied reddish copper lager is brewed with malted Canadian barley giving this brew all the flavour and satisfaction one would expect from a premium ruby red beer.

Cheap beers need love too! The beer pours a translucent light copper colour with a heavy off-white head which leaves some nice lacing. The aroma is light caramel, cereal malts, and weak herbal hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is acidic on the tongue with no discernible beer flavours whatsoever. Maybe cheap beers don’t need love! -

Another bad beer from the Laker family. Some sweetish malt tones dominate the flavour and aroma, but they are not all that pleasant. A little on the sick side if you ask me.

No intergrity at all: a discount brand, high alcohol "red" (red??) beer flavoured water. But that said, I didnt mind it. Very good carbonation, nothing much past that, but all considered drinkable.

Their site still says 5.9% ABV, but the label on my bottle is at 5.5% ABV. Bought in Ontario too. Pours a clean golden-brown-red colour with a foamy off-white head. Light carbonation and retention, with no lacing in sight. The nose is pretty impressive though, with strong rusty malt. The mouthfeel is watery and the taste is far from what it smells. Mostly corn. Starts off slightly bitter, but middle is corn, finish is corn and aftertaste is corn. Nothing offensive, and if you like corn... you will like this one. Just don't expect a red tasting brew.

I don't know where they get off calling this red beer as it poured brown and tasted brown. Looked like pop sitting in the glass. Tasted like it couldn't decide if it was brown or red, with a bit of a cola feel. Laker beers are horrible all around but this was by far the absolute worst. A neighbour gave it to me and now that's he gone I'm going to pour it out.

Second of the terrible trio of "dollar" beers I got from Brick. Same fizzy carbonation and poor head retention as the other Buck a beer Bricks....except it’s a light amber gold color. Same near odorless aroma of wet rice paper except there are hints of caramel. Spritzy weak mouth feel but at least there is a light caramel malt taste and some fruity esters that come in in the fast finish ( possibly flavored and colored with an adjunct agent)...probably the best of the Laker line for what that’s worth....still too weak and watery to be taken seriously.
