There's not a lot to say about it. It's a translucent gold colour with a thin roicky head. The aroma is grainy malt and sour hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with medium high carbonation. The flavour is weak grainy malt with a fair amount of sweetness. Any bitterness is lost. Not a good beer. -

Bottle: Poured a deep clear lager with a large bubbly head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma is dominated by adjunct with some grioss sweetness. Taste is quite bland with some bad adjunct and some gross sweetness being easily discernable. Quite forgetable and you have to think that a buck a beer can get you something better.

I first had this back in the 80s when it was brewed by Laker (I believe they were based in St. Catherines). This was one of the first price reduced beers in the province of Ontario..........and the product reflected that. Cheap tasting swill that should never touch the palate of man. I recently revisited this brew, and found very little change in my original sentiment.

Tastes like Bud/Canadian and the like, has a hint of bitterness at the end but very very carbonated with not alot of body. If you like your water with a little kick, its not bad.

Bravely drank from a mug. Weak pour, little head. Pale, clear yellow as expected. A damp and unfavourable aroma, luckilly very weak. Mouthfeel is hefty, texture a bit of a mess. I don't think they let these value lagers sit long enough before selling them. Flavours have not developed, carbonation is weak. Terrible really. Quite unfavourable in all aspects (even for a value brand) One of the worst I have had the (dis)pleasure of trying to date, and - odd as it feels to say it - would probably prefer domestic macro.

Hadn't had this beer in a long time (back when the label was black). Now, everything is blue with a maple leaf too (blue as well). Sample from the can this time. Pours a golden light colour with a white head. Not much retention, but creamy lace on the side of the glass. There is hardly any aromas to this beer. Watery mouthfeel. The taste at first is kind of weird. Expecting caramel, but instead get some bitterness... mixed with some sourness. Then it goes down smooth. Light malt aftertaste. Remember it better the first time.

Second of the terrible trio of "dollar" beers I got from Brick. Same fizzy carbonation and poor head retention as the other Buck a beer Bricks....except it’s a light amber gold color. Same near odorless aroma of wet rice paper except there are hints of caramel. Spritzy weak mouth feel but at least there is a light caramel malt taste and some fruity esters that come in in the fast finish ( possibly flavored and colored with an adjunct agent)...probably the best of the Laker line for what that’s worth....still too weak and watery to be taken seriously.

This is a decent Canadian Lager. It pours a medium gold. The head fades but some lacing is left. The taste is crisp and refreshing. It's a really good beer for the price.
