Hidden in the Lake of the Woods region on a small back lake there exists patches of berries usually reserved for the discerning palates of black bears. This beer is subtle with a clear fruity nose. Muted blueberry, low bitterness and medium body. Although high in ABV, its finish is smooth and well-balanced. Note: ABV was 7.5% prior to 2016

The beer pours a purplish colour with a thin oinkish film for a head. The aroma was blueberries, cream, cereal, and must. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is a balance between both sweet and tart blueberry flavours with some grainy malt, and weak bitter finish. -

As far as fruit beers go, this one isn’t bad. It pours a pale red, almost dark pink colour with a white head. The aroma is grains and blueberries. The flavour is stale grains with some sweet blueberries and acidic notes.

473ml tallboy from LCBO. Pours a huge foamy bubbly pinkish head and has hazy amber appearance with ruby highlights. Lacing is ok. Subtle fruity aromas, some sweet malts. Flavours are on the sweet side, faint blueberries but not very strong in the mix. Still some fruity notes though. Average carbonation and retention. Medium body. It's ok.

Murky pink-amber colour with a pinkish small head that don't last long and no lacing is left. Fruity sweet nose with hints of sourness and chocolate. The sourness also felt at first in the taste is reminiscent of infected beer. Not sure what the rest of the flavours really is?? Not much blueberries here. Some fruitiness, but not a well-balanced brew at all. More like "Forgotten Blueberries".
