This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you're on.

Bottle. Colour - light amber, slight haze, thin white cap, no lacing. Aroma - grapefruit hops, biscuity malt, wet grass. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, light carbonation. Flavour - very hop forward with citrusy hops all over the place and very little hint of the biscuity malt.

Pours a fairly small foamy and bubble tan head and has a clear golden light amber appearance. Decent lacing. Aromas of floral and earthy hops. Fruity and toasted malts as well. Flavours are quite fruity and hoppy, lots of citrusy and piney hop notes. Average carbonation and retention. Medium bodied with a bit of an astringent mouthfeel. Good balance of bitterness and sweetness. An easy to drink IPA with subtle and effective hops that don't overpower the palate.

The beer pours a translucent golden orange with a thick generous frothy off-white head which lingers. The aroma is pine, citrus, and biscuity malts. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour has tropical fruit notes, some definite citrusy hops, and those are rounded out with a nice malt tone. Well balanced flavours, and refreshing. Wish it was a permanent fixture. -

Amber colour with an ok head, retention and lacing. Pine dominates the aroma and flavour. Not the best or worst ipa. Worth a try cause it's Lagunitas

Clear orange, thick remaining white foam head, lacing nicely. Strong hoppy aroma, bitter taste, some earthy notes. Bitter aftertaste. (Chicago 201510)

pours a light orange to pale yellow color, 1/2 inch white head, great lacing. The aroma is of dank pine hops in the smell, not much else. The taste is also of dank pine hops up front, sweet malts come in next to give some balance, needs more of a malty backbone to make it better. The mouthfeel is medium, carbonated just right. Not a fan of Stouts.

Deep golden pour with thick white head. Alot of lace on the glass. Faint citrus taste with a noticable hops bite to it. Enjoyed the mouthfeel of this beer. Can't believe it took me so long to review.

On tap at Vic's Package Store. Copper amber pour, nice white head, good lacing. Grapefruit and citrus hops aroma, plenty of malts, earthiness. Taste is grapefruit and citrus hops, slight pine, sweet malts, nice medium bitter linger.

A fine IPA, but somewhat unremarkable. A bit sweeter than expected but great flavor and all around hop presence, but that's to be expected from an IPA. I guess the label didn't lie.

Grabbed this as along with my 2nd sampling of New Dogtown Pale Ale. For some reason I am finding the Pale Ale hoppier than this. For an IPA, and compared to the other IPA/hybrids from Lags, I thought this would be hoppier than what it is. Still a smooth IPA, crisp for the summer season, but will be going back to the Lil' Sumtins/Sumtin' Extras, Lucky 13s, or some of their others in the future. Glad I finally got to try this after all these years....as it slipped by and had thought I had sampled.
