A refreshingly light, yet very complex flavor gives this one a very european 'Savoir Faire'. From Lagunitas Brewing:

Good old Lag 10. Aroma is kinda sweet - like its gonna be a killer alky brew. I haven’t tasted a mild Lag yet. Both Brown Shugga and Cappuccino Stout were quite impressive as far as bitterness goes. Upon tasting, it is just as expected, do they use the same background recipe to brew from? Same bitter medicinal treatment on my taste buds. If you like big beers like imp stout and IPA, you bettor give this a try. Very very difficult to drink and enjoy. This is like the bang you get from 32 oz malt liquors from the bar for $2. Why not, this was only $2 for a 22 oz brown bottle bomber! Hop and malt bitterness ensues after a few slugs. The taste is reminiscent of a mild rubber inner tube. Finish is alky that lingers oppressive for a few moments.

Label on the bomber indicates an abv of 6.6%: I was greatly surprised by this one from Lagunitas considering all of the beers I've had from them have been rather hoppy. A self-described "Crispy Summer Ale" the reading on the label mentions that this is Belgianesque, so I didn't know what to expect. Golden and earthy like a Belgian Strong, fruity and spicy like a Witbier, and even resembles a Saison in a couple aspects. Deep golden pour, the white head diminished quickly and there wasn't much lacing along the glass. Aroma is weak, but did produce a yeasty scent with sweet malt and light spice. Thick mouthfeel, very crisp and smooth with a slick clean finish. Flavor is a nice mesh of belgian malt and yeast hopped ever so slightly. Mild pepper and spices with a splash of banana and orange flavors. Pretty damn tasty.

Pour was a light amber color with okay head and almost no lacing. Aroma was very wheaty, apples, coriander. Flavor was much the same, very peppery. A little over spiced for me but not a bad beer.

Poured a clear amber color with a decent initial off-white, near white head, weak retention and lacing. The aroma was like a witbier, wheat, coriander, apples, some bananas, pepper. The flavor followed suit, starting out a touch sweet, then transitioning to a bitter finish, somewhat barley / wheat bitter with black pepper. Mouthfeel was tingly (more spice than carbonation), lightly dry, but lightly sweet thick (but not thick).

Thanks to eaglefan538 for sharing. Yellow pour with little head and lacing. Aroma was wheaty and spicy/clove-like. Flavor was sweet, wheat and clove, honey and some pepper/bitter finish. Mouthfeel was syrupy, but not in a good way.

I'm still trying to figure out if I like this or not. It's different; very different. Especially from anything else I've had from Lagunitas. Pours a hazy gold with a little white head that doesn't last long, but does leave some lacing. Smells, I donno, a bit off? It's a bit yeasty tasting, although other than that citrus is the most prevelant scent with a touch of hops. Tastes...yeasty and off. It's like it's trying to be a Belgian but doesn't quite want to commit. Citrus is predominant with a tiny hit of clove. Malt sweetness could use a bit more hop to balance it out some. Mouthfeel is moderately full and creamy with some citrus aftertaste. Drinkability is average. Nothing special but it's not bad.

This is more of a Belgian Golden. Poured with a dark orange and gold color. The large bubbled white head dissapated quickly. The aroma is sweet with honey and carrots. There is also some light toffee and shortbread cookies. The taste has some slightly spicy carrots and some bread crust. There is also some light citrus with a little bit of honey sweetness. Finishes sweet. Interesting taste that stradles a Belgian golden and a hoppy saison. The light body makes this seem like a nice summer beer.

Well, for the first time that I can recall, this Lagunitas beer has a write-up that actually makes sense. I guess they wanted to name this #9, but got a semi-nastygram from Magic Hat. And so they renamed it #10. Okey-dokey. Fascinating! (not).

I'm surprised to see this listed as a Saison / Biere de Garde, since in my eyes (and taste buds), this isn't anything more than a Golden Ale.

"Crispy Summer Ale", eh? Well, this does have a interesting bite to it, that I would personnaly only attribute to the beer's freshness. And this is good "Summer" beer, for what's worth.

So why am I not jumping up and singing the praises of this beer? I dunno. It just seems to lay there, without going out of it's way to impress. For reasons I can't wholly explain, I get kinda bored of this rather quickly, even if it did go down well enough with my home-made tacos.

One of the easiest drinking -- and least excitting -- offerings from Lagunitas. I'm not a fan of "Summer beers", but even if I were, I would have a hard time getting excitted about this one.

Appearance: This pours clear golden, like a macro-lager. This is a an OK saison, a little less going on than one would normally expect from a saison. It's nice, but not remarkable.

Light orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and spicy. A medium bodied saison style ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch of citrus and a touch of yeast. Bright yeasts. Slightly spicy. Kind of saison like except for the finish. Crisp and clean. Light and refreshing. Hints of banana, clove and coriander. This beer tastes totally different than #9. No trace of the 7.7% alcohol. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
