Labatt Lucky Lager Extra

Hey! I'm sure lucky to have more Lucky! This one is extra lucky so I know it's going to be extra pleasing. Appears solid gold, which is extra gold compared to the regular Lucky. This one is extra flat looking to boot. Same aroma as regular Lucky but less skunk which makes this extra good, extra alcohol as well. Sour, extra crappy hops, some alcohol taste, extra crummy wheat, Extra syrupy and extra bubbles with some mild bitterness and a dry finish. Extra!

See my review of "Lucky lager" for any decription of this beer. Take away anything i said about smell because this has none. Besides that they are the same beer but since this has more alcohol but taste the same as the origanle, and the only purpose in drinking lucky is to get drunk a recomend this one for more bang for you buck. So it's geting a better over all score.

i expected just a bit different taste compared to lucky lager. i was wrong. same cruddy smell, same dull taste but with more suck. only thing its got going for itself is that it came out of my cold fridge.

I think this degrade's the whole Lucky Lager name, the taste is quite awful and really is only 6% instead of the regular 5% you get with Lucky Lager. A trick I've found is to purchase 6 Lager and 6 Extra, that way when you are done the 6 Lager you can start into the Extras. This can make for an interesting night and often one that you will wake up to and wonder what you did the night before. You will then vomit for about a half hour and swear never to drink Extra again, only to find yourself drinking it an hour later.

I believe this beer is bad for the reputation of lucky. First of all all they do is up the alcohol to 6% but they sacrifice the easy drinking taste that has made lucky popular to cheap drinkers. This tastes like a mix of regular lucky with OE.

When 'pretty drunk' isn't enough and you want 'drunk as fuck' you go and get yourself some lucky extra. Not the greatest tasting lager i've tried but for the price a great purchase to anyone who refuses to buy Oe's.
