Labatt Genuine Honey

This is god awful stuff, worse that the Labatt Honey brown from a couple of years ago. The honey is present in the aroma and flavour, but there's very little beer to go along with it.

This is very average stuff It tastes just like regular labatts Where is the honey? This had one of the fastest fading head I have ever seen. Nothing special but an OK beer.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 11.5oz. or 340ml bottle into a pint glass. Appearance: It hade a thin white head that faded out fast and left little to lace behind. Its body had a nice golden amber color with good clarity and some visible carbonation. Smell: The aroma was very sweet and malty. Taste/Mouth feel: The flavor hade a nice sweet character with touch of clover honey along with the bready sweet malt. Hop flavor was rather bland with a mild bitterness. The texture is smooth with a medium body and the carbonation is lively. Notes: Overall it’s a basic average tasting beer.

Not bad considering who brewed it. It poured a clear golden color with a thin head. It had a ncie malty aroma with traces of honey. Light clean taste with a noticeable honey flavor. Nothing really special, but drinkable.

Pours a clear, bright golden colour with a full white head. Aroma is slightly hopped with a hint of honey evident if you sniff hard enough. Sort of bland in flavor, again- slight honey taste. Another boring brew from Labatt, not suprisingly.

I think I paid $12 for this twelver when it came out last summer. This bottle I am testing is from that case... 5 months after. Nice, still good. Pours a golden-amber colour with a decent white creamy-foam head. This one has medium retention, but no lacing. The nose is good, with malt and some honey in the background. Boring thin body. The taste is a dissapointment to the aromas. Very smooth, with light malt in the beginning heading into the corn finish that the normal Labatt Genuine Draft has. Much prefer the leader of this honey lager trend... Lakeport Honey.

This beer is worth paying more for than 2 of the others of this style-lakeport and pabst, and is cheaper than Beehive. I must give labatt credit, they did a good job with this one as for a cheapie you can actually taste a bit of the honey, and it isn't all that watery. No, it's quite good actually.

Poured a nice honey-brown colour... how appropriate! No head at all, and lots of bubbles rising to the top of the glass. Aroma of light honey. Nothing horrid, but nothing to make you want more. Very thin and watery in the mouth - it would appear the bubbles are just for show. Smooth going down though, which I guess goes hand in hand with near-water. Very minor honey taste at first - thankfully it is also missing that horrible aftertaste that the Lakeport Honey Lager has. I'm not quite sure which one is better... homegrown Lakeport or big-market Labatt. No reason for most people browsing this site to purchase it for, but it certainly is cheap, which makes it good for 95% of the beer market consumers.
