smelled of lemon, banana, coconut and pineapple juice. flavors of dole orange-banana- strawberry juice and unsweetened coconut. maybe like an orange julious. mmmm tasty. pretty thin on the flavor but the appearance was pretty kickass though, with nice thick foamy head and a goegrous banana body. kickass seabass.

I think this is the only Trappist witbier, and it’s a good witbier. It pours a very cloudy light gold color topped by a frothy white cap that sticks around and to the chalice. The aroma is very wheaty with hints of yeast, spices, and citrus. Mouthfeel is average. Flavor is well balanced between the sweetness from the yeast and the tartness provided by the citrusy and yeast notes. A good witbier.

330 ml capped bottle, ABV is 5.5 %. Poured in the original La Trappe Trappist chalice an unfiltered and strong hazy, close to opaque, straw-yellow coloured Witbier with a generous one finger almost white foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is wheat malts, spicy with cloves and coriander, and acidic fruits, citrus. The flavour is light sweety malts, fruity, citrus and spicy, citrus zest, cloves and faint coriander. The mouthfeel is thin, sparkling and light bitter. The texture is watery. This light bodied Witbier has a dry fruity and unpleasant acidic finish. Overall a balanced feeling, well in the standards of the style versus a too watery and acicdic feeling.

Think this white beer is a bit too flat. Not to much flavor, low on carbon gas, low on foam. Just a normal white beer, bit dissapointing for a La Trappe.

Comes out of the tap a hazy, opaque lemon yellow with a nice fine-bubbled white head. Aroma is lemony, wheaty and slightly yeasty. Wheaty flavor has a hint of lemon and just a bit of yeast. Lively, fizzy texture leaves a fairly persistent tingle in the finish.

The aroma flies out the bottle as soon as you open it. It has lemon, clove and fresh mowed grass in it. Really fresh and fruity. Too bad it disappears quickly, that costs a few points. Once poured in the glass, it forms a huge thick head that keeps popping. Very nice and it looks great in it's own glass. The flavour has again the lemon, but also the coriander and Granny Smith apples in it. But unfortunately, the taste is gone pretty quickly as well. Leaves you craving for another sip. Best to enjoy on the first nice spring day in the garden.

330 ml bottle, as La Trappe Witte Trappist, bought at Systembolaget, Sweden. ABV is 5.5%. Looks crystal clear in the bottle, but there is some sediment. Pours crystal clear pale yellow with a huge head. Slightly hazy when the yeast is poured in the end. Fresh and attractive aroma with notes of mild spices (coriander, cloves), hints of citrus. Light bodied (verging on "thin"). Mildly spicy flavour (coriander and cloves again), refreshing.

Labelled as La Trappe Witte Trappist. pours out in a cloudy pale yellow colour with a small creamy white head. Yeasty aroma of cloves and banana with touches of lemon and coriander. Fairly light-bodied with notes of cloves, banana, yeast, vanilla and mild lemon. Yeasty finish with a low bitterness, hints of coriander, lemon, dough and vanilla.

A Belgian style wheat beer from as Trappist monastery based in Holland that misses the mark big time. There is certainly a witbier texture and look, but the flavours are weak.

The beer poured a cloudy gold with a 1" thick white head. The aroma was wheat malt, some banana, some cloves, some grain, and a hint of hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium carbonation. The flavour was wheat malt, sweet malt and spices and a nice bitter finish.
