Pours deep gold with a medium sized white head. Quick disipation. Tiny bead carb. Sweet perfumey soap aroma. Flavours have stewed strawberries and cantelope. Pretty good.

750 ml caged and corked bottle. Poured a clear and golden orange-amber coloured BdG with a generous two fingers, fine, dense, creamy and slightly beige foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is rich, yeasty, sweety malts, bready, earthy hops, light fruity and honeyish tones and, not least, a pleasant barnyard feeling. The flavour is sweety malts, bready, marked honey, fruity with notes of citrus and pears, peppery hops. The mouthfeel is light crispy, fulled and thick. The texture is oily. This full bodied BdG has a dry honeyish finish and a surprsing aftertaste, coming more and more intense. A superb Bière de Garde, tasty, characterful, from a small brewery located close to Cambrai in the French département Nord. I'm under the charm !

Hazy golden in color; thin white head; heavy with particulates. The aroma was malty and slightly fruity. Taste was sweet, but mild and mellow with floral and fruity flavors and a smooth finish. Not that distinctive or memorable.

Golden colour, mediumsized fluffy head, which disappears fast. aroma is honey, peanuts, some sour fruit and yeast. Flavour is burnt sugar, yeast, slight honey and a bit metallic notes. The metallicness is not that disturbing. Good beer to have to sip on.

09.02.04 750ml bottle. Pours a glowing, golden, yellow-gold with ample, fizzy head that settles and lasts. Aroma is fresh, lively, and barny. Some light vinous notes, pear. Nice and inviting but a hint of something plastic. Flavor is mild and grassy. Slight oxidation in this bottle, I think. Quite malty for a blonde, but the flavor leaves the party just before it’s over. A nice quencher; good with mild foods.

Bottle. Nice clear golden colour with a large white head. Aroma has sweet biscuity malts and some nice light fruit. Excellent biere de garde; taste is spicey, malty and fruity with some caramel and fresh yeast. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, with some warming alcohol in the finish. Very good.

This beer is way too sour and I don't like the nuttiness. I understand it's supposed to be, but it's not my cup of tea. It does have a great aroma for what it is, and a great head, but I just don't like it.

Nice deep, cloudy yellow with average head and lacing. Aroma is somewhat sweet, but nothing really stands out. Medium malts greet my mouth, ending with a bitter finish. Somewhat light mouthfeel. I expected more, but didnt recieve.

Pours a hazy golden colour with a white head. Found the aroma to be malty and fruity. The lacing is exceptional. Taste is quite floral and fruity with a nice smooth aftertaste. I'll have to try this one again.

330ml bottle. A golden slightly hazed ale with a moderate rocky cap. Light lacing. soft coabonation. Aroma is sweet but has musty alcohol tones like a smoked malt whisky. Good malt spine, silky mouth feel... toned back hops..sweet with fruity tones like peach or apricot in sweet cream...finish is wet with a musty, earthy decernment... interesting ale..very gentle and warming
